man, I guess this picture is a wake up call for those rally spectators, if you are watching the rally, at least don't stand next to a wall with no give.

The people at the Finland rally are super crazy, they stand at the bottom of the jumps next to the road, went there earlier this year...there were some real close calls!

I friend of mine told me about the Camberra's WRC, he told that the racers are totally insane, they run over anything that gets in theyr way, dogs, cows, fences, threes, ppl , anything. Mad if truth.

I always have my heat in my mouth when I watch a rally with the spectators so close! There should be something done about it :?

The 80's rallies were crazy! Now it's a lot more controlled. Back then people would literally jump away from the car's path in the last second.
BTW: It looks like that guy is fucked.

Cheers for the info PSYCHO BEAR, I suppose on the long rally stages it is next to impossible to do anything about it. I just have visions of the 80's rallys, where the cars are on friggin snow stages, just the spectators are just stepping out of the way of the car, tour de France style! Crazy stuff.

I think normal if that spectator was bound or injuried...once this area around the wall is considered dangerous and it should be forbidden once if a car slides inexpectely(like in this case...the roads are dirty and wet, very sleppery) the spectator doesnt have any space to avoid the accident.....
For instance ive gone to see rally races and hillclimb races regularly for 15 years all together...and ive never had any problems with the car crashes.....just to study in which direction the cars are going to manage the bend, and also see...which direction the car is going to see if the blocks the brakes, if the car manages the bend too quicly.... is far enough to see pass a rallying car in a safe way

I agree with you, I think that you made a good decision.....the car accidents pics doesnt do any good to the website and to the motorsport either
I was actually speaking with Kostia, sorry the confusion ;)

Good point but TT is referring to Kostia who is acting rather bizarrely at present by randomly posting very large pics in various threads. I would put it to you, Mr Kostia, that you have been indulging in a substantial amount of alcohol intake on this good eve, sir.

Hope he got away with his life. There's no way to control the spectators on 10-20 mile course. People just need to be more cautious around 300hp machines trying to do anything to win a race, just be more logical.

Spectators like this guy should really watch rally only on TV.

wow that is some nasty crash!
What happens to the driver if he crashes an expectator? Its not his fault is it? Because on the road, he would get charged but in a rally, I suppose its different?
