Capturing TV shows

I was wondering how you go about this, I have a few things on VHS tape that I would like to share but how do I best go about getting it onto my computer?
This week on the particular show was a story about David Coulthard driving (and doing burnouts) in various AMG cars and next week is a road test of the DB9 so I would love to get them onto the PC and upload them.

If you have a DV, you can probably plug the VCR to the DV and connect that to the PC. Not every DV has that feature and a number of them do.

Alternatively, get a TV Tuner or a video capture card.

Thanks, I do have a DV but not with me right now so I'll give that a try tomorrow when I do. :D
