Hi guys, correct me if i am wrong, Peugeot and Citroen both belong to the PSA group? From what i know, their model lineup shares their engines. If that is the case, do their rally cars use the same base 2.0l engine a well? i was comparing between the 307WRC and Xsara WRC results and was just wondering.. Thanks guys... 8)

firstly its true that the pug and Citroen belong to the same group(PSA group) and their street cars share every mechanical elements such as the engines, the transmision,.........the only difference between the two brands its just the quality of the interiors materials of the cars and the painting threatment as far as i know......therefore the citroen is always a bit cheaper than its equivalent for peugeot such as the saxo/106, Xsara/306, C5/406-407......
About the difference between the xsara and the 307...both have some different chassis, once the xsara shares the chassis with the pug 306, whereas the subsitute of the xsara will have the same chassis as the 307......however their engines are based in the same engine such as the head and the block although they are prepared independently...the setting of the engine and the whole 307 WRC are managed by Peugeot Sport, whereas the whole Xsaras setting is managed by Citroen Sport(two completely different racing car departments)
....furthermore...the gearbox between the two cars are completely differents once pug decided for this season to implement a 4 gear gearbox(in order to get some reliable gearboxes) otherwise the both brands would get a similar trasmission
