Aug 31 - I had a ride in a 360 Spider, pics and small video

Well to make a long story short. I was here at the PC while I heard some loud engine screaming down my window.. I took a look and here is a 360 spider... it was 8:30 PM.. I jumped on my tripod and I was ready to take pics.. I just took one when the neighbour who works for the Ferrari workshop in Lausanne arrived behind me asking if I wanted to have a ride for a couple of min... WTF?!? I said, and inside the Spider I was :D launched at 170 km/h in a 70 km/h zone :D and sever times too :D and a couple of powerslides too!!
It had aftermarket exhaust.. seemed lot louder than a regular Tubi.. .. there is also a small clip when he was leaving afterward :D

It WAS A FUCKING BLAST!!!!!! Even if I had a ride in a 360 Spider during my Enzo day, this time was better.. roof down, loud exhaust..

i can imagine your excitement man, my ride in a 360 spider was awesome and he floored it a fair few times and the sound is just incredible with no roof to muffle it. I can only imagine what a spider with an aftermarket exhaust would sound like.... great pics too ;)

LOL yes I was extremely lucky :D I mean.. I don't really know him that well.. we just live in the same building and basically he also saw me almost every day cruising past the Ferrari garage :D that's it :D
But you should also consider that, giving me a ride, he also enjoyed the car for another while :D

BTW, I forgot to say it in the first post, but we had also a small tunnel blast (more like a road passing under a 20 m wide bridge and he was in flooring mode (second gear)... OMG :D ... an explosion :D

Only downside IMO, as a passenger, the F1 box is terrible because it changes gears so quickly and brutally. The showe you get when the driver select the next gear in his 360 is comparable to the one you get in an Enzo, and someway even less smooth... after a couple of minutes you begin to wonder if you need to do some neck muscles exercise next time you will be at the gym! A regular H grill will be way more classy and will offer also a more relaxing experience for your head I suppose :D

But who cares really? :D afterall when you have a short blast in such cars you want it to be the most frantic possible and again it was :D

I have the same opinion and most petrol heads for sure think the same.. but I fear he is not THAT passionate about cars.. it is indeed about money sadly :(

Even if he's not flooring it, the sound is still very nice IMO.

And those pics are without doubt some of the best you've taken.
But I suppose the more beautifull the car, the easier to make the pics look good :D So my pagani pics should have looked twice as good as they now do :? But well, next time with an extra memory card and in 1600x1200... that might help a bit.

I can't believe i missed this topic till now :D .....I really wish i had neighbours like you :lol: what with the number of pics you've been able to get and now he just casually turns up and takes your for a ride in a 360 Saved a few of the pics in the "strange warm light" i think they'll look cool as backgrounds. Can't wait to see the video when i get back home :D
