I was wondering if you can burn video clips (like avi, mpeg, etc.) on dvds and watch them on a dvd player. I have a lot of videos I don't have time to watch, and it would be easier to have them available when I am off the computer too.

Yea, but not all "DVD player" support that. You can probably get the new Philips DivX-enabled dvd player, it plays DivX/XviD as well as mpg's on data cdr/dvdr.

Since a lot of you guys know abotu divx and codecs, I have been having a problem. After I dl a movie the sound is very very very low. I have all the right codecs ( Used G SPot), however I have to put my speaker volume at the highest , just to hear it . What's wrong with it!??

Actually that happens to me too, but the sound effects are perfectly good if the speakers are turned up to the max rite?

That's cause the audio on DVDs (ac3 or dts) is not as compressed dynamically as audio on VHS or TV. So you hear both the very quiet and very loud sound. By compressing the dynamic, everything would sound about the same in terms of loudness.

i turn the ac3 filter off personaly for best results.
as for DVD DivX players, they have firmware updats, u download a cd image off the website, load it into you're DVD player and it automaticley copys over the new firmware.
