i try and use nero, however, it has a stupid copy right thing. what programs can succesfully copy dvd movies.

hmm...I dont know much about this subject either. Have you tried dvdshrink and what not?

You can't copy some DVDs because they have copy protection. What you can do is cracking the anti-copy while riping the DVD to your HDD using DVDDecrypter then you can burn it on DVD but make sure you burn a DVD Video (an option on Nero).
Else, you can use CloneDVD to copy it but if there is a protection you have to use DVD Decrypter like mentioned above. CloneDVD enable to put a more than 4.7 Go DVD on a 4.7 Go DVD by compressing it a little.

I use windvd it works great. Its very easy to use all the menus are simple to put up. You can put music in your menus custom backgrounds and buttons.

Perhaps he was talking about WinDVD Creator or WinProducer?
