I don't want to come across all 'parent' like, but this week there seem to be quite a few people who have or know someone who has had some form of accident. A friend of mine did battle with a kid throwing stones, sorry, I mean rocks at cars on a corner in the wet: this is the result:

This is the most important thing, the health of any person rather than the conditions of a car, at the end of the day, although we get fascinated with some cars, they make us happy, and any supercars are compared sometimes with some pretty models, they are some objects which allows us going from somewhere to somewhere else

this happens way too often in the UK. Happened to a truck driver the other day, saw it in the paper and luckily the stone went through the passenger window but he got off at the next exit, went looking for them and pinned them down waiting for the police to come pick em up

Glad the truck driver did that. That is ridiculous, though. Who the F@*# are the parents or should I say where??? They need to be taught a few things. That is just wrong. Glad no one was hurt. though.

Not alot of people throwing rocks here but we have semi trucks jack-knifing every 3 days because these dumbasses Don't know how to drive. Half the cars here deserve to be stoned for putting so many people in danger.

jon i think your word of caution of people on here havin accidents almost spread to me 2nite.driving along the bypass to a round-a-bout,its big round-a-bout and u can see clearly if anyone is coming along the other ways, well there wasnt so i was doin 30mph just got to the round-a-bout,bam the car just cut out, steering locked.for sum reason the brakes went soft and just wouldnt stop quick liek they do when normally braking,so using the handbrake softly managed to bring me to a stop.i was scared half to death, driving at 30mph doesnt seem fast untill u encounter problems :(

lol yeah i figured that out and already on top of my to do list.i drove for 2 hours after that and it didnt happen again, and nuthin felt wrong at all.as im not great on mechanics i couldnt put my finger on what was wrong, but i took a guess that maybe that there was just a gap in the fuel pump or sumthin and it just didnt get fuel into it and it cut out.i dunno....... :?

For those who don't know the story, copied from The Darwin Awards

Personal Account: Bridge Bowling
October 1999

There are jerks, and then there are real jerks, like people who think it's funny to drop heavy objects on cars from a highway overpass. Hector, our hero and Darwin contestant is one of the real jerks.
Late one night he found the perfect spot for his hobby. An old overpass had been torn down, and its replacement was almost finished. Hector located a boulder of concrete identifiable as a piece of the old bridge by the rusty steel rods protruding from it. Using the rods as handles, he dragged the mass onto the new bridge, and right to the brink of the fast lane below. Then he heaved it onto the edge of the low construction fence, a position so precarious that he was barely able to hold it in place. There he lurked, waiting for a victim.
Hector wasn't aware of the hook-shaped, rusty metal rod that was dangerously close to his private parts.
When the next car came, he timed the moment just right, and rolled the concrete over the brink. The sharp metal rod pierced his jeans and hooked itself firmly in his flesh, and before our hero could react, the boulder began to painfully pull him off the overpass.
Panicked, he managed to grab the handrail and hang on for dear life. Unfortunately, neither the jeans nor his delicate flesh could support the weight of the falling boulder. The metal rod ripped through flesh and fabric, and tore his jeans from his body, pulling them down until his feet got stuck in the cuffs. At this point his hands slipped from the rail, and he fell to the roadway, suffering more injuries and knocking himself out as he landed on the roadbed on top of the concrete boulder.
The driver of an oncoming car braked and swerved as the boulder and the man crashed into her headlight beams. She avoided the man lying on the road, but not the boulder, which became stuck int he bumper of her car. THe man was still attached to the boulder by the jeans at his feet. He was dragged ninety feet, until the car finally braked to a halt.
After this experience our hero's contribution to the gene pool was in rather poor shape, as you might imagine, partially hanging in shreds from the boulder, partially spread across thirty yards of highway. Heroic doctors managed to save quite a bit of him, almost spoiling his chances for a Darwin. In th enick of time an infection caused by the rusty wound finished the job, resulting in the loss of his private parts.
As a bonus to society, as soon as he was able to leave the hospital, he was locked away fromt he public for a long time. Not only did he lose his ability to contribute to the gene pool, but he also will no longer be able to disturb the survival of the fittest by throwing heavy objects at them.

Proof that sometimes bad behavior is punished. But seriously people be carful out there.

Sad to say that this is not uncommon here in Australia.
In Adelaide,South Australia (capital city of the state I live in) these little bastards throw rocks/whatever they can find at cars/buses/trucks from overpasses.
And get this, they do it to drivers on what is called the O-bahn, a concrete rail system for buses which links the city to the outer suburbs. The driver cannot swerve as they being guided, speed up to 100km/h.

Hope if any of you guys catch one of these pricks that you detain them untill the cops get there, I would dangle the little bastard(S) over the edge and show them what fear is personally.

There are fucking stupid drivers in my town, today I nearly iced a mofo who pulled out in front of me! Right hand turn on a round-about single lane onto dual carriageway. I saw the dude look at me (P plater in a VL commodore 86-88) and the fucker drove straight out in front of me!
I have to brake heavily and stop to avoid him. Would have hit front/drivers door.
Followed to educate him on his stupidity and he took off at high speed.
Dumb fuck went to a park area near town(one way in,one way out) so I stopped at the top and waited.
The car came back minus the driver(dropped down the bottom) so I took a photo on my phone, got the plate and reported him to the police .
I was in my sister's car, as some other dickhead rear ended mine at 60km/h hour while stationary.(all ok)

Zero tolerence for this shit; glad I didn't catch him as I would be in jail instead of writing this.

Damn man, that's terrible...the really unfortunate thing is that it's not isolated at all...about 4 months ago I was home for the weekend and was driving down the street a little before dusk and some kids were standing on the inside of a blind bend in my neighborhood throwing stones at cars as they went by. Fortunately I saw them before they were in range of me...I kept my distance and called the police from my car. I waited until they got picked up, so hopefully they won't be doing that crap anymore.

that sucks I was driving with a few friends late one night and were driving through my buddies neighborhood going back to his house and these stupid ass kids shot his truck as we drove by with a cheapass paintball gun, needless to say they got their commings when we got back to his house and grabbed his paintball gun (fully auto) luckily they were still there when we got back.
I have to admit that we did build a snow man in the middle of the road outside my friends house last winter that was funny, it wasn't a blind corner or anything though so people could see it and some guy in an SUV plowed right through it.

Vansquish and T-Bird, good job!
Hope you cranked the shit out of that paintball gun!
"feel the pain beeatch!"
Sounds like that dude in the SUV saw the snowman and decided to spoil the fun for you.
Or he was drunk/high(pretty common around here :( )

If the kids parents gave a shit about them they would give them the biggest ass kicking of all time.
I know my Dad would/did! Hated him for it at the time, but soon realised that he was just teaching me a lesson that I would not forget!

Weapon of choice - the dreaded belt(no buckle action!) Shit it stung and you knew you were in trouble when you heard the old man pulling the belt from his pants, and he did not have to go looking for it!

Sad thing is, these kids know that they will get off with a slap on the wrists from the "law", and the person injured/killed is perm scarred both mentally and physically or being mourned by there family. :(
