Per TransAms suggestion from my previous post 8) --- Who can get the highest score? I know jabbas crazy system will blow mine away.
Just built my system up last nite. Went to pcpitstop web site and did a full test. My score was 1645. Mines a mid-level system to be used for casual gaming and home video editing.
Here's wut i'm running:
athlon64 3000+
2x512 mushkin ddr400
radeon 9600 w/256mb
160gb samsung hd
12x DL dvd from optorite

Fuck off, thats nearly a supercomputer!!! ( Noy as good as Jabbas NASA rivalling system though! :P )
Jabbas system would beat NASA, his was built by the elite folks over at the NSA, not to mention his pc trained with the elite ninja computer team in japan.

OMFG please tell me your kidding about that pcpitstop
if you want to do some real world benchmarks then you could start with
3dmark 2001 - overall system gaming perfomance
superpi (8m test) - pure cpu computational speed
ATTO - h/d disk speed

I should try those. pcpitstop is just a quickie reference test i heard of
Yeah, I purposely built this to those specs to last me for 2-3 years w/out upgrading. I read in forums of people with 9800 pro video and 6800gt cards talk like its nothing. Me, I cant afford to shell those bucks out, so I chose based on price and performance---which translates to choose the cheapest, but fastest component.

The NSA has a computer in a basement that's submerged in inert gas for cooling. It's the equivalent of 100.000 home computers...or 50.000 Jabba computers.
