Of course the best catch for today was this... a stunning red/red "stripeless" Challenge Stradale!!!! Again in front of the dealership! Sadly it was already 6 pm.. not much sunlight.. slow shutter speed, no tripod (terrible!! LOL).. so not the best pics ever.. but still.. enjoy!!!!!

ALL THE PICS ARE CLICKABLE FOR 1600X1200 AND YOU ARE FREE TO POST THEM ELSEWHERE. You will need to re-host them though since JW doesn't allow remote linking!

Another couple of cars I got today:

Two Vettes, with and without the roof :D

This SL55 was waiting for me in a parking spot, I was slowly changing the setting of my camera when I heard its rumble LOL.. and I noticed there was a MILF inside! So sadly I could only take the pic while she was leaving

And lastly.. a 996TT with some nice rims!

looks like you had a pretty good day. those rims on the turbo are nice, i think the 360cs looks incomplete without the stripe

i think the 360cs looks incomplete without the stripe

It's funny you say that. I think the stripe ruins it and prefer it without.

Nice pics as usual TT, but you really should have got a pci of the MILF.

Looks like Euro spec Z51 Corvette coupe and US spec imported convertible.

Notice the narrow license plate with reverse lights and lack of rear lights in the ass cheeks as are shown on the coupe.

Coupe looks to have Z06 Ti round outlet tailpipes.. interesting. I cannot recall if the Commerorative Euro Z51 got the Ti mufflers.

360CS pics are still amazing TT :D

Two Vettes in one day  .. in the UK i have seen about 5 on the roads and a few in an American Import Centre

Thanks everybody :D I'm one of those wich think the CS is better with no stripe :D less flashy.

Thanks RC for the Vettes' infos. Luckily in Switzerland we can have either a long or a short plate (as you can see in the two Vettes)... to put the long one on the cabrio would be terribly wrong :D lately Vetts are more and more common, probably just the summer as it is considered a rare supercar around here, not a "good bang for the buck" ;) so ppl cherish it as they would with a Ferrari, or it is like that in most cases.. I wonder when I will spot the first C6 around here :)

Nice pics TT - we have a lot of Vettes here at work, an XKR, an XK8, an NSX, couple of other Trans Ams and Camaro SS's and assorted muscle cars (older ones). Not allowed to take pics at work though, alas, but I might try and get dispensation from security...It's only the car park after all.

Good spot on the vettes, RC, I didnt even know there was such a thing as euro spec.

As for the Stradale, agree completely with you TT, looks so much better without that stoopid stripe.

Yessir - thank the Eurospec police for the quiet stock Vette exhaust. They get the needed amber turn signals, space for wide plate (which moves the reverse lights into the tail light cluster) and the loss of red lense surface area with the moeved backup lights has those really ugly extra set of red tail lights (to meet Swiss and Germans regs I seem to recall) in the ass cheeks.

Europe would have got the Z06 - if only the Swiss and Germans did not have such strict noise regs among other things... (it wasn't emmisions - the Z06 exceeds even CARB regs in the US) - and duffing the pipes down would defeat the purpose of the car I guess..?? ;)

As for the Stradale, agree completely with you TT, looks so much better without that stoopid stripe.

But without the stripe - how does the new CS owner show off the cars specialtiy and extra price to those non-gear heads at the Starbucks that he wants to one-up.. :P

TT
08-20-2004, 08:44 PM
Uhm.. in the last CS pic you can see an E36 similar to mine, an old 190E and a Mégane Scenic, previous model :)
In the first Vette pic I see a regular Golf III, Mercedes C-Klass estate, Focus, E34, Astra wagon, 206 wagon, A Klass,...
In the 996 pic I see, beside the CL500 ;) a 147, a Colt, an Omega...

See? Full of regular cars too :D

nice pics...love the 360CS, looks great.
As for the stripe-no stripe argument, I prefer no stripe but it also doesn't bother me that much...put it this way if I could have a 360CS I would take either option. :D

Oh BTW, when I first posted the pics I forgot to say this:

While I was approaching the car and preparing the camera, there was a mom passing by with two little girls (in their 5 I'd say).. they saw the CS and started screaming VERY loud "mommy, this car will beat any car in the world, it is the best car in the world!!".. I was like "well ok, it's a red Ferrari.. they are excited".. then they started running away from their mom, they reached the CS and screaming their "truth" they began tapping with 4 hands on the whole bodywork, and HARD! so my eyes quickly went to the mom wich was smiling.. you know, the smile a mother always has when proud of her child? And they went on for a good 10 seconds tapping on the car!!!

And I was there waiting to take a pic and "don't kick them, you can't kick them, don't kick them, you can't kick them...."

Now, it's not because it is a Ferrari (and not the most common one)... I can't say a word against the little girls, I have 2 little sisters and a little brother and I know what it means, but the mom could have stopped them instead of smiling like a dumbfuck!

The mom...I don't want to talk about it. She MUST say something to their children. simple education...

Very nice pictures TT, and a good quality of them

The reason that i decided to write down in this topic is for remarking one more thing, apart from the remark and the pictures of the 360CS, the 911, the couple of Vettes, the SL55; there is one more car that nobody has commented, and it deserved to be remarked in my opinion: just the blue Audi RS6 Avant that is parked in front of the ferrari 360CS. In addition, although in my opinion the car is not as remarkable as the RS6 once its not a AMG tuned model, i noticed that there is a merc CL beside the 911 on the picture...thats all.....cheers

Shit i would kill anyone who would do that to my car(if i had one), should have acted like it was your car just to get her scared, im sure that smile would change pretty quickly :)

Yes of course it was nice to have an RS6 in front of the CS instead of a Panda ;)

I prefer the CS without the stripe. I will have to look for that poll now...

Great pictures, TT! About the mom, if you would have placed a subtle remark towards her about how much it costs to repair a very minor scratch on a CS (and exaggerate a little), I bet she would have stopped smiling in a second and called her kids over.

LOL yes of course I considered it for a while, but I didn't want to be attacked by a furious mom :D and BTW, the showroom door was open and nobody seemed to care/notice... anyway, the day I will have a Ferrari, I will ask them not to park it in front of the showroom after the servicing will be done :D
