Basically I have chosen to go for a Savrow Katana WX for my laptop choice after much thinking. Here's the final specs:
- 3.4GHz Intel P4 Processor with HyperThreading
- 1024MB PC400 Dual Channel RAM
- Microsoft XP Home
- 60GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache Hard Disk
- DVD-RW Drive
- 17" WXGA TFT Screen
- ATI Radeon 9700 Pro Graphics with 256MB
- Internal Wireless 802.11G
- Built-In CCD Camera
- Subwoofer Module & 4 Speaker Sound
- 7-in-1 Card Reader
- 3 Years C&R Warranty
- Black and Cobalt Trim Unpainted
All for about £2000
Now this is a pre configured laptop so it's about £200 cheaper than it would be otherwise. My dillema is that if I want a custom paint job which is about £200 I will have to get a custom one built and so will cost £2500 - £500 more for custom paint but same spec!
Is it worth it though?? They use paint from actual car manufacturers (they stock lambo and ferrari colours but you can have anything)
I was thinking ferrari grigio alloy as shown bellow:

Here's a katana with similar paint scheme and a white gt stripe down the side:

This is the standard colour:

They can basically do anything, i was thinking maybe ferrari ross red with a challenge stripe down the side but maybe thats pushing it a bit.
Bottom line is.... is it worth the extra £500 for a stunning looking laptop?
