I've read that a few people here Paintball and I was wondering how many do.
So do you Paintball?
If you do what kind of Gun(s) do you have?
Mods made etc...
Also where do you play?
I have a Tippmann A-5 marker with an E-grip and Flatline.
I plan on getting a low pressure kit and a drop forward soon.
I also just learned that my dad can get me an amazing deal on anything from Airgun Designs the makers of the AutoMag, E-mag, Mini Mag and X-mag so I'm considering another gun.
I play at a place called Promised Land Paintball: www.promisedland.com yes it is a Christian park but a damn good one at that.
One of my friends from school is building a new park with his work so I might be getting a job there to help ref on the weekends, and play of course.
Also I go up to one of my friends grandparents homes up north in Wisconsin past the Dells (for people that live around here or know of the Wisconsin Dells) they have a very large amount of land with forest and beach/lake and fields so it is perfect for the game.

I do, I've got a Tippman 98. Only mods are a ceramic barrel. It was worth it too, more accurate and better distance.
I play at two places mainly. On a freinds farm down in Hastings. Lots of fun down there, there is a stream that flows through it with a wooden bridge going across. The bridge is in the open, so it's risky going across it. Run like hell. Otherwise it's your average forest with walking trails going through.
The otherplace is public land alongside a highway across the street from a friends house. It has a big open field in the middle that is about 100ft across and completely surrounded by trees. It's a lot of fun to sneak through the field because of the tall grass.
I've never played at an actual paintball place, there is no need with the abundance of forests in my area.

well I agree that you don't have to play at a park but it's fun playing rec ball with about 150-200 people it's like a battle field such a rush and at the beginning you just hit the ground and look up at a blanket of paint. Sadly I can't use full auto at a park though.

No wonder...you live in Minnesota.
I wanted to buy a Tippman 98 but Cuba sounded better. 8)

LOL, I can imagine it's gets pretty crazy. The most people I've ever played with at once was about 20. Lots of fun it was, we played at that farm. I had lots of fun hiding in a rusted out truck body picking people off.
I've got no experience with the A5, my freinds gun is fully auto. Not sure what it is, I'm not the big into Piantball. All I know is that if he uses the automatic stuff, it breaks balls. I'd rather shoot as fast as I can that have to try and clean the gun out and leave the game.

MN is very beautiful indeed. I was there in June when my sister graduated from Carleton College and I liked it. Come to think about it,it was very similar to Southern Ontario.

Paintball can hurt like a bitch too If it gets hot out and the guns are cranked up that shit can really fucking hurt especially the knuckle and neck shots.
666fast - My gun luckily has never burst it's balls so far when full Auto is on it depends on the gun and barrel somewhat but mainly your paint, cheap ass wlamart paint doesn't agree with alot of high end guns especially and you will be chopping balls all day long.

wanna compare? ive had welps from airsoft, just eletrics for a week after some games. The worst part about the whole thing is that the bbs make you itch.

I've gotten Bleeding welts the size of quarters on my neck and trust me they really fucking hurt especially when you try to turn your head.
Same with the ones between your knuckles when you forget your gloves.

Completely off topic, but whatever. You drove here didn't you, up north towards Duluth along Lake Superior is damn pretty. Where abouts did you drive while going to Northfield?

I've taken numerous shots in the neck, hurts like freakin hell. I also lost my pinkie fingernail once. Hurt real bad. I hate wearing gloves while playing, I find it too uncomfortable.

Thats cool, having to try and clean it out in the middle of a game sucks ass. I only use one brand of balls, PMI Premium. Every now and then you'll chop a ball, but not too often. I'm not sure what my friends uses.

kid got shot in the face he started tearing up, and gushes of blood came out. Pretty sick. Also this kid has a Greande launcher, aka shoots 50 bbs at one at about 300 FPS and a kid took a shot from that right in the back. It looked like something out of saving private ryan.

OK well the grenade launcher thing is just fucking stupid and immature.
Playing without a mask is also pretty stupid, I hope you atleast wear safety glasses. I've seen what a Paintball can do to an eye.
666 - very good choice in Paint that's what I use 90% of the time. Also I went through a few different types of Gloves for the same reason alot are uncomfortable but I found that DYE gloves are great and very comfortable, I also used MechaniX gloves once and they weren't too bad either.
how is the grenade launcher immature??? I wear glasses, and anyone that messes with me messes with my thompson. TIll my friend broke it. WHAT AN ASS! :fist:

messing around with shit like that without any protection is pretty immature also thinking it's cool to use on friends is.
300 FPS is just as fast if not slower than Paintball also.
I know its the same speed but 50 BBs coming out is pretty damn bad. Also i dont know the kid that got shot, i dont know why he wouldnt wear a mask or googles, when your playing againest some one with a K98 with a scope (gas powered) that one shot at 430 FPS he had it upgraded.

yes, i play paintball. we call it skirmish though. were not allowed to own guns because of strict gun laws. therefore we have to play it at a purpose built facility. even air rifles or BB guns are banned. a cop can shoot you down if you held one of those.
ppl always wonder why i choose fat blokes on my team. the paintballs just bounce off. :D as you all know a kill is only considered if it breaks

I also play paintball. I have a 03' RAT Impulse with numerous upgrades like
- Matte Black Paintjob
- Blue Light Cricket Board
- Eclipse blade trigger
- Brass hammer, Ti Pull pin
- Smart Parts Voodoo bolt
- RAT low rise feed neck w/Halo Oring grooves
- 12in J&J Ceramic Barrel, 12in Smart Parts Progressive
- Halo B loader w/rip drive & z code
- Lots of other stuff
Spent way too much money on it, but I guess it pays since I play on my college club team. At team practices we play at our sponsered field Top Gun, however if I play on my own I play at Fireball Mountain in Jackson, NJ.

Is your school a sanctioned team or just a club because I know people that play on the Purdue team and one on the Stout(don't ask) team.
I'm thinking of getting an E-mag to play on a team since I can get it for about $600 new w/custom paintjob.
I would buy better but for the money you can't beat it.
I'm not very familiar with Ratguns but I've heard some good things.
you sure put alot into it though so it's all good.
I can't upgrade my Hopper like on other guns which is good and bad, the system it has is very good and is nice because it sets the hopper low and to the side.

well If I get the E-mag it will have Warp feed but I was talking about the A-5 because it has a patented feed system on it and is part of the gun you can't change it.

well I took some pics of my marker so here you are.
Can you guess what gun it is modeled after? (it even uses a part from the actual gun)

fucking Spyder!  J/K
My Barrel cost almost as much.
I take it your not a serious player. If you are get a new gun, if you just mess around then it's great.
Mine is actually the fastest firing Fully Auto gun on the market at 21bps yours is like 17-18 I think.
I got to mess around with this one a week ago at their offices/factory, it's a great gun but I want a little more from them. http://www.airgun.com/tacone.shtml
I'm definitely picking one of these up from them soon.
http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=380&categoryID=84
The weird thing is the gun I am considering from them (the E-mag) they have stopped producing for the public which I just found out from my dad but they are still making small amounts of them for team's.
