Correct me if I am wrong. The E90 isn't suppose to be due until 2005 as a MY2006 right? So it is only August of 2004, why do they have so much stuff on it. Considering that BMW is stick to its 7 year cycle. The E46 came out in 1999 for the 4 door and 2000 for the 2 door.
The front end looks a good. I don't like the rear taillights at all. The side profile isn't bad either.

on an earlier picture I saw a grill that I liked a bit better, for the rest I think they have done a really good job if this would be it! Skip the Nissan like rearlights and keep the dash. Because I like the mixture between the 5-series and the 1-series in the dash.
lOOKS PRETY DAMN GOOD! Hell yea that looks good.

When will it be out?! Late this year or next year????
It looks very cool! I wonder if there will be a 318i or a 316i.....
I hope it won't be more expensive than the current model.....
I can already see the more agressive M grill, and front lip.

Well maybe it is a prebrochure but the pics are definately real. The car is supposed to come out in late 2005 as a 2006 the earliest, as far as I know. I love those 18" rims and the fact that all cars come with 6 speed mauals as standard :D :D
I love it

That's real. It's from a brochure that leaked from a printer in Denmark.
Can't wait for the M!

Yeah I see. I like the 6 speed as standard as well. But I can't get over the taillights and the cuts/grooves in the doors.
I still like the E46 more.

a quite nice design from bangle... but i don't really like the rear of this car... to much edge on the lamp... but the interior is awesome, and also that 6th gear transmission...

don't get excited!
i refuse to believe that the photos aboves are completely real. why spending in marketing (which is very expensive) when you are not sure that this car isn't the final iteration. there are still one or two year for the official presentation of the 3series. Another thing: why the interior more luxurious than the brand new 5series? makes me believe it's looks like more a revisited 7series (coming at the end of the year). My intuition tell me that the interior of the next 3 will looks more like the X3 and Z4 (which are common), that's because all share platform and basic components. same thing as the 5 and 6series. and what happened with the rear windows like the C-class shown in the spy photos? it's seem absurd to me that a brochure is out and ready when the car isn't. But if it is the real 3series, i swear i will love it!!!! :-) Its the best design i have ever seen!

yes, the interior is to luxurious for a 3 class BMW, I guess they would also increase the price on this new 3 series...

Good post.
Although, I wouldn't say it is the best design I've seen ;) .

Ther're real. The new 3 series is going on sale early 2005 - official presentation will be quite sooner than that, probably in Paris. Plus someone is getting fired over this leak ...

As a 2006 model right? Because if it is 2005 model then BMW will shorten their model life by a year.

Not sure if anyone else seen what I saw, but I saw this same car on CAR and DRIVER magazine. According to that magazine, this isnt the new 3 series, but the FUTURE SERIES 4. Havent seen the PDF, does it say Series 3 on the PDF or not? If it doesnt, then this may be the 4 series.

3-Series name for Saloon, 4-series for Coupe and Convertible. Thus the name of the next Motorsport version is called M4 due to its 2-door configuration. Simple enough eh?
Chaos in 1983!
08-17-2004, 12:32 AM
They already dropped the 4 Series and M4 designation...there will only be 3 series and M3...no 4s...
