Very nice!! Glad to see the owner is not an ass 8)
Luckily some pics popped up LOL :D his comment "I don't know how to post pics, I'm to old and don't want to learn.. anyway all the F1 look the same" was kinda dumb... of course everybody knows how most cars look, but why then there are milions of pics around and most of us love to see and store the best ones?
Luckily the ppl there are less aggressive (compared to us :D) in their "pics or STFU" behaviour :D

Thanks dude....dont know why....I thought it was going to be an actual Formula One car...like the Frank Mountain guy that bought the Ferrari F1 car.

sounds interesting...now I have a lot to read LOL
Thanks!!
I read the whole topic and the guy is the most down to earth supercar owner ever... except our very own Jabba, of course :P
The guy has extensive knowledge on the car, and his opinions are very worthwile reading. He gives great insight and has a mountain of technical knowledge that surpasses expectations. He knows his stuff 8)
If only he posted a bit more regularly, but he is doing a favour, and is not obliged to offer this information :D
His taste leaves a lot to be desired, but he has shunned flashiness and the high-downforce LM option in favour of purity.. a great read :D

PetrolTed actually met the guy personally before he started posting to verify he owned the car, as pistonheads was spoofed a couple of years back with a guy who claimed F1 ownership..

Great to know that! I love such kind of people!

That was a cool post. Flemke is a hero is my book....
I glanced over the thread.
One question I didn't see answered (maybe it was, but I didn't find it) - It sounds like he lives and drives in Germany - yet the car has Brit plates... *shrug*

No.. look at his profile.. he lives in the UK, but makes trips to the continet as many supercar owners do 8)
He also met up with that "Ted" guy in a Pub in London

Oh ok - but the "top speed" threads spoke about a normal route to work that involved an autobahn... :)

Wow great read, theres a guy is massachusetts that we once hooked up with who has 3 mclarens including and lm, and he is has the same type of personality as the guy on PHs. Taking random people for rides and really down to earth, really cool guy.

Have you posted on F1 Automotive Forums... and did you get a ride in an LM :?:

yea my name was jomo12345, we were once considering a f1 but it kinda faded away so i stopped posting on the forum, you can check out a tread called like "list of online dealers" or somethin, theres a pic of my dad, the owner, and myself with the lm. both rides were a great experience esp. the lm. With the short cut gears and everything. the most memorable moment was in the lm, we were at a light and an old couple next to us were covering their ears w/ their hands b/c the exhaust was so loud.
Edit: heres the thread and the pic of us in it, blurred our faces b/c i didnt know if the owner wanted to be seen or not

I remember that
I got into reading that forum a while ago, and suspected it might be you.
You are really lucky to have ridden in the LM w/ straigh cut gears.. must have been noisy.
Its funny... small world and all that 8)

yea i think if heard of JW from AF
We are hoping that the car will get here tomorrow b/c on saturday we are flying to colorado, and then from there we are driving the vanquish to monterey for all the events. so if it doesn't arrive tomorrow(probably wont) then we will get it when we come back from monterey.

Wow, cool pic budagboy2, that must have been quite an experience to ride in an LM...
Great thread from Piston Heads as well, I really enjoyed reading that. It's great that he's such a down to earth guy. From my experience, most super car owners are down to earth, and really happy to share their cars with other people, which is great! :D
