I just got my new computer...I havent had time to take pics yet..I just got it yesterday and I have been to busy playing around with it and I cant find my damn camera...so heres a list of the specs...
-Dimension 8400 Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz w/ HT Technology
-1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
-17inch Ultrasharp Flat Panel display
-128MB PCI Express 16x (DVI/VGA/TV-out) ATI Radeon X800 SE
-160GB Serial ATA hard drive (7200 RPM) & I just installed a 250GB SATA drive for my DVD's and car videos...
-Microsoft XP Pro
-48x CD-RW and 12X DVD+RW (with dual layer write capabilities)
-Sound Blaster Audigy 2 THX
I was really surprised at how quiet this thing is..my old dimension was so loud! Its so fast too..I guess compared to my old computer which was 800MHz...anyways I'll be sure to post some pics when I find my camera..
EDIT: Well I finally found my camera and the software to load the pics onto the computer...so here are some pics...

800Mhz? 750 overclocked to 800? 'Nyway: Dude, you got a Dell! Some1 had to say it. Very nice specs but small display. I find my 19" too small for 1200. Do you have the thin tower with the bays "a la" vertical?

Very Nice computer. I would love to have the new ATI Radeon X800 Pro. Fantastic graphics card. Im not a big fan of dell though. After having two. Affordable but some of the products they use are cheap.

if you don't mind me asking, which speakers did you get with it?

yeah the monitor is small..but since I had to buy it and the 20.1 inch was $300 more...and plus I'm taking it to college (I didnt knwo if it would be too tall for the space they give us)
I actually didnt get any speakers..I'm using my old ones which are fairly nice they are harmon/kardon and the sub is 70 watts or something I m not for sure but its alright..I didnt get any new speakers because I wanted to wait a lil longer and get the Klipsch speakers ...which are around $400, I dont know the model number..but they arent the pro media ones..I heard there were a lot of problems with those..but I think these that I'm talking about are supposed to be much better..
sorry bro, but ima tell you the truth about how i feel about Dell. Wait till something breaks and you will find yourself in a world of shit. Their tech support is located in India, and unless you speak Pinjavi, or indian, you will have no fucking clue what they are saying. I tried to get them to send me a sound card 5 times, i got hung up on somehow 5 times. Also another thing about dell which you will find out soon, as that they use really cheap parts. My dads DVD Drive has failed, CD-RW Failed, Sound Card failed, Video Card Failed, and is slow as all hell. Personally if i was you i would have built my own, thats what i did. They made better computers back in the day, my mom has our old 2100 and it runs perfectly fine, while my dads crashes atleast twice a year. Ive had so much anger for that computer.

NCIE dude ....... now i hate you .. :fadein:
I recommend the Audigy Speakers, 6.1 600 Watts, work very well with the Audigy 2 if you opted for that. I love my audigy 2, i used to rely on the stock Mobo NForce2 sound, but the Audigy 2 sounds much more crisp and richer,

Wow man the specs all sound really nice, hope you dont have any trouble with it.
As what blah is talkin bout iv just read to many things about dell and how the break down pritty and there build quality main reason why I my self am going to stay away from that company no offence.
Just hope nothing goes wrong with it, but other then that it sounds like an awesom machine you have your self there.

Very true. Self built computers are always the best. Especially with mine...an AMD XP 2400+, 200gig hd and 80 gig, the usual drives and what not. It totally out performs my dads 2.6ghz Dell computer.

Nice setup man.

Yeah, my moms laptop had some problems too: dvd cdrw combo drvie shitted on me, heat sink and fan "Got knocked the fuck out man!!". Their service ont he phone is kinda "hard" , with their accents. But when I sent the laptop they worked fast and paid for the shipping. Now it is working very well. Dell is still an ok computer company.
I built my own Athlon 2700, with a ASUS Mobo board, audigy 2, and all. Thermal take case, Lite on CD-rw 52 write speed (i love this thing), and a Sony DVD Drive. Its very nice, has never crashed on me, and i learned alot about computer care, and technology. THe only thing lacking is my video card and speakers. I havent upgraded to a ATi 9800 Radeon, and my speakers are from the dell, so they dont fully take use of the Audigy 2.

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro's are fairly cheap now. I remember seeing one at a store around 200-250. Not so bad. Speakers are pretty cheap these days too. you should check out www.newegg.com and sometimes they have deals and what not.
