ALL THE PICS ARE CLICKABLE FOR 1600X1200. I hope there was no typo. if some of them aren't working please let me know

Well, what a day today :D I woke up, quickly checked JW and off I was on the highway toward Geneva :D My mission: to visit two showrooms in a marvellous combo :D Ferrari and Pagani in the first one, Lamborghini in the second! Such mission simply can't go wrong :D

I decided to split the pics in two topics since they are around 130 :D

First off the Ferrari/Pagani one. It wasn't easy to find :D Mouse told me it is close to the Lambo one.. yes it is, but not on the main road and I found it by mistake while trying to turn around to come back to the Lambo one :D

It was pretty small as you will see in the pics, and pretty crowded with exotics. not bad at all, but not easy to take pics of course.
The guy inside as always was very polite and was almost surprised when I asked if I could take pics :D the answer was a yes, so I could start working around those cars :D
Again, very smart move to take the tripod with me: impossible to take good pics inside dealerships w/o it...
Only downside, as you will see, all the pics from the back of the cars show some sort of 2'000'0000'0000'000 KW light coming from outside.. like if there is a nuclear testing ground or something right on the other side of the road... not my fault obviously, but many pics are pretty crappy despite the tripod just because of the damn light :D very hard especially for the two Zondas... oh well enough ranting now, let's start with the pics!

the lineup, beside the two Zondas and the F40 wasn't THAT impressive, but there was the Ferrari of my dreams!! (second only to a 360CS in the same color scheme): this marvellous 355 blue outside and tan/tobacco or whatever it is called, inside!!!!!! Too sweet!

http://www.jabbasworld.net/photopost/data/504/83ferrr-med.jpg (http://www.jabbasworld.net/photopost/data/504/83ferrr.jpg)

Ok enough Ferrari :D time for a couple of Zondas. As you can see, almost impossible to take a nice picture of the whole car :(
BTW, for a moment I was hoping this one was a bare carbon one :( sadly not...

They weren't my first Zondas, but it's an impressive sight nonetheless!

That's it. In some of the pics you can see there is another part of the showroom, pretty dark.. there were some more cars, a couple of 308 and 328 and various other brands, but since all the lights were turned off, I preferred not to ask, and anyway the cars were even closer in there :?

I didn't know they had built the production Zonda Roadsters... and now one is for sale second hand

I Think the unidentified classic roadster is a Jaguar XK120 or XK140...though I'm almost sure it's the former.

(this one in case you weren't sure which one it was to which I am referring: http://www.jabbasworld.net/photopost/data/504/83ferrr-med.jpg)

Maybe second hand, but maybe not. Dealers order them from the Makers and sell them on the lot. So far, as far as i know. Three roadsters are made. Yellow one, silver one and red one.

Thanks everybody for the feedback, I'm happy the pics are enjoyed :D

Now to answer some of the questions:

the dealer is called Carugati: http://www.carugati.ch

the Roadster could be second hand or could be new as far as I know

and if indeed only three were made so far, holy lord I got a rare sight!! :D but wasn't the yellow one, tested by Vicki, already sold to somebody (but the test beeing old, the car could have been sold already by now).. dang I would like to know more about that roadster now!

edit, just checked their site, doh ;) http://www.carugati.ch/stock.html
the black one is new while the yellow stated on the website has 18'000 km, there is nothing about the fact it is a roadster so it could be another one that wasn't there today... the one of the website has 18'000 km and was built in 2001... could be the one tested by Vicki for real?

Great stuff TT, I'm still trying to find out where I can see a Zonda over here. Do you know what the price on the Zonda was?

Nope no idea about the prices. On the website they say "upon request" and at the showroom there was nothing on the cars...

Thats sure nice of them...the ferrari dealership I have gone to a few times gets pretty pissed off...I guess they think I'm going to steal their cars or something..lol

Great pics! Thanks TT!

BTW are Zonda's fairly common where you live...because at the time of the VBH episode of 5th gear where she drives the zonda roadster she said that zonda had only sold 40 cars...I was also just wondering because I never hear about any being in the U.S. at all...

That never happens to me in the UK

I went to Stratstone Ferrari (and Maserati) in Manchester and they told me they would "prefer "for me not to take pictures. :(
There wasn't anything special on show except an ENZO  But it was under a car cover... you know the red nylon stretchy stuff. It was a customer car that they were "looking after for a few weeks".

There was also a black Quattroporte that looked amazing and it was already sold!!!

It seems that UK Salesmen are a bunch of tight gits  This is the second time i got told this in two weeks... the people on the continent are much more friendly :P

Time to try Lamborghini Manchester out soon

Well I think for customer's cars that are around for repair and such it could be different, but well, afterall everybody can walk into the dealership just to take a look, so I guess there is no problem in letting taking pic :D luckily so far I never received a "no" as an answer ;)

Nope, not common at all! I saw 4 Zondas untill today. And well the first two where at the Supercar Rally 2003, so not really "on the road" ;) and the last two in that dealership. But Zondas are SUPER RARE anyway and to see one is an event! To see two, when one is an HYPER rare roadster is almost impossible :D

Simply marvelous pictures TT...thanks for making the effort to take them for us ..

I just thought I would mention that my F355 came from Stratstone originally before I bought it from Maranello. Kinda one of those small world cases I guess.

Damn, I'm jealous...I've never seen a Zonda, much less the roadster in person, they are some of the most exotic looking cars around...here's hoping hehe...nice pictures too TT.

The dealership near me tends to have a pretty constant flow of stock. When I was there last week they had a Quattroporte, several 4200GTs...coupes and convertibles...a Merak, a Yellow Enzo a blue 612 and the usual assortment of 360s, 355s, 328s and the like. I think I'm going to make a run tonight, so I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow (though I doubt they'll be of TT's calibre)

Yes but Maranello is Ferrari UK and as I understand it everything has to go through them...all the cars arrive there first and are then sent on to the other dealers...sadly all this is hidden..(I did get shown the hidden area when I bought a car there...but you cant get into it via the normal showroom) I also remember an F50 being in there being rebuilt after a major accident...very interesting to see how little there really is of that car except for tons carbon fibre.

Many dealerships have hidden areas i guess.... especially when such high calibre cars are involved.

Anyways... Lambo manchester has opened recently in Stockport so i guess i will have to take a trip there. They seem to have quite an impressive stock at the moment. 8)

LOL would be nice indeed, but I fear tomorrow I can't really move from Lausanne :(
And BTW, for such "visit+pics" maybe to be alone is a better idea...

Darkel

Yes, that's not a museum but a car dealer, I don't think they want everybody to visit ...

That's not the same, there's an english version of their website and the salesmen have to speak english.
But that's not a problem, I can speak german

Fingers crossed, fingers crossed ... :)

Cool....I"m really jealous...I saw a 911 GT1 a Merc CLK GTR, Jag XJ220, Bugatti EB110...I"ve only seen a couple of those in person hehe.

I was under the impression that the Nardo was a prototype and none were produced for public consumption...and the picture of the Veyron is definetely from an auto show rather than the showroom floor...makes me wonder what they've actually got in stock, and what they're using for PR.

Well for sure no Bugattis, but that showroom is probably the biggest and most famous in Europe or close to that :D so the lineup will be impressive for sure!
