I'm not a very experienced drifter myself so I can't do my own Top 10 list but maybe someone else in this lovely community has their own Top 10 drift cars list? Personally I think that a certain German carmanufacterer from Bavaria produces cars with very nice balance and weight proportion (front/back) could qualify as top ten. Especially the M-cars. My own 4-Matic Merc is pretty fun on snow though :D

well don't drive to but these would be good i think...
1. Modena / CS
2. Diablo VT 6.0 (on NFS it drifts good)
3. F355
4.F50
5.Aston Martin Vanquish (very nice sideways)
6.M3
7.Subaru (if i look at possessed_beaver"s sig)
for the rest i din't know anything more...
^^^^
Not really :|
The cars in the UK D1 Drift championship are much more suited.
I think the M3 is the most suitable here.
The Modena/F50/Diablo are too snappy and will not hold out a drift for long... especially through a long series opr corners

I think a BMW M5 would be pretty good too (according to stuff I've read sadly)
and so a Honda S2000.
Anyone to back that up?

That #1 is definitely correct. I heard that guys put an engine in the Trueno that revs to 11,000 rpm and puts out like 240 hp NA. Crazy stuff.

lol... That's from Initial D. They put a racing engine in the trueno after Takumi blows the original. I don't know if anyone's actually done this.

actually the chaser in stock form is pretty ugly, its just another toyota whitegood. i see it here where most ppl dont kit it up. then when you see it in japan, they have nice kits, rims and brake rotors that barely fit into the rims. then it has the looks of one mean machine.
but i would love to see that mazora chaser against the uras skyline

haha I really hate the American Cars in the D1 but i guess it is just starting in America. BTW the Mopar Cars (Viper SRT4) their paintjobs are really annoying

well considering on it's first showing the GTO was in the top 10 shows it is one hell of a car and IMO is way nicer than a Silvia or an 80's Toyota with APC stickers and neons all over them. I do like the apex(I think) RX-7 though that is a nice car.
The GTO is like the only car there that is still produced besides the Viper which is way too expensive. and maybe the 350's but still most are unatainable cars for the US atleast and some people dress these things up way too much since half the time they hit the frickin wall's or another car.
Also why do you hate the American companies competing in these events are you afraid they may just be better and take over the podiums?

Ferrari 355
you drift Ferrari 355s?
Porsche 911 Carrera RS (1991)
and Carerra RS's? how? track cars (such as the F50) would have to be greatly modified...thats crazy.

Clearly a Nissan fan? :D
The 180SX and a "Sil-80" are both S13s. The 180SX is an S13 hatchback (versus the Silvia, which is a coupe) and the Sil-80 is a 180SX with a Silvia nose, but both are an S13 chassis.
That #1 is definitely correct. I heard that guys put an engine in the Trueno that revs to 11,000 rpm and puts out like 240 hp NA. Crazy stuff.
That's a bit of fluff...Initial D and TRD Group A stuff. What's more realistic is a motor swap into a late model 20V Corolla motor that will spin to 8-9k, but that 11k stuff is race stuff that is not that useful for drift or street because all the power is up at 10-11k with no mid or low end.
My PERSONAL Top 10, by car model (instead of just chassis code) would be:
180SX
Silvia (S13)
Corolla GT-S (AE86)
Silvia (S14)
Soarer
Supra TT
Skyline GT
Chaser
RX7 (FD3)
Viper (competition coupe)
Millen has been having problems sorting the GTO out...I think once it's sorted, it'll perform better and we'll have a better idea of how good it CAN be. The Viper is clearly doing well, with Sam placing very well this season.
I haven't seen the M3 in enough action to know how it is in connecting corners, etc. Clearly, it can drift, and it appears stable enough, but I'm not sure whether it'll handle connecting corners since I haven't seen it in any competitions.
What makes a good drift car is stability in mid drift and the ability to pitch the car. Cars like the Diablo, etc. mentioned above, while it certainly has the power to weight ratio, doesn't appear to be able to hold drifts and certainly doesn't look capable of connecting corners with ease. Then again, it might just be the cost that keeps people from tuning it for drift...but in the end...why would you want to. Just be a pimp and get a Corolla or Silvia for drift. Wreck it? Get another.

I think my best friend's uncle has that 20v motor. My friend wants to buy it but his uncle doesn't want to sell. I don't see why though because he doesn't even have a hachi.
