X-ale i'm a beginner on this program, so be pacient.
I’m trying to create the following effect but I get stuck on step 5.

In this image in the timeline the guy has 3 composition icons but on mine I have 3 layers. But I don’t know how to put composition on the timeline.
And also I think my compound blur is not working.

Ok look, sorry i didn't do it earlier but i just couldn't b4 now. I can imagine you're anxious to resolving the thing so this is what i'll do. I'm gonna make an example for myself to understand where this is going cuz trying to jump to step 5 just isn't making sense right now. So you too please be patient as I try to figure out this thing. BTW, nice little 3d mock up exercise...

You have to create new compositions for step 3 and 4 out of a copy of the step 2 composition solid. Dig? Then you place compositions 3 and 4 into the first 1 so you can use them for the compound and displacement.

Let me know how far you get with X-ale's help. I know AE like the back of my hand, so I will assist where I can.

Why don't you take some desktop captures of each step as you progress so I or Minacious tell you the right way :)

I know it's not really the same and it isn't as good quality as the one on the site but considerent i started this less that a day i think it's pretty good.
Here is my AE file. U have to understand that i'm a beginner so don't look how it layout. :(
