Not as lucky as last week-end.. just a LOT of Porsches and some more.. sadly the second Ferrari of the day decided to pass by while I was changing my fucking battery pack! And I'm trained in switching batteries pretty quick!! To bad...
BTW, funny anecdote, while I was there, a man asked for directions, in english and since he noticed a fire fighters logo on my chest (I collect fire dept and police polo shirts) we began talking and he was a retired fire fighter from Vancouver. Small the world isn't it?

Anyway, for the cars

Let's start with the only Ferrari: a 348 TS

Porsches in Switzerland are extremely common, I wouldn't be surprised if we are the country with the higher %age of Porsches (or maybe even for total volume LOL).

As for the way the pics are taken, first of all I don't like to stand there for an hour or so and be seen by everybody while I take pics at them ;) second: the place I choosed is right behind a tree casting some welcome shadows on me :D. Third, that is the best emplacement really, because I can see all the roads entering the roundabout and basically impossible to miss a car ;)
You can see for some pics like the E30 I tried an higher emplacement, but to much zoom needed ence crappy pics.

The main point though is that I don't want ppl to think I'm some sort of psycho, taking pics at them (wich of course I am, considering my 800+ "cars of lausanne" collection :P)

That's the same with the Audi S/RS, I heard that more than 60% of Audi sold in switzerland are S/RS; I also noticed it when I went to the Geneva Auto Show

Ah yes sure, RS4 are more common that regular A4, same goes for the S3, and for sure 90% of the wagons are either RS or S versions. And usually most S or RS are wagons. I think I saw only a couple of saloon RS6 so far for instance. But sure, basically if you have a family and can't use a Porsche, you buy an Audi RS :P

I never saw any sedan RS6, even in Switzerland :|

LOL ... i feel the same.

I see great cars everyday, and would love to share pics with you guys :(

Today i went here... 20miles from my house

 www.williamloughran.co.uk

I saw an Enzo and the 288GTO, but didn't take any pics because of their rules. They also had a Carrera GT and loads of other Mercs. I didn't see the 360CS because that was locked off with the Enzo and other rare cars that were behind some tinted glass.

What can i say though... that was the first Enzo i have seen and to be separated from it was just heartbreaking  ... i could only look at the front of the car, and the side of the 288GTO.

The guys at the showroom were really friendly though... they told me they had just sold a Carrera GT (their third car!) to an Austrian guy @ £375k

I got up close to the Bentley's, Merc's and Porsches and the CGT. I think i could have got closer to the Enzo if the main boss had have been there, but it was not to be.

Today i also saw a Gallardo that blasted past us at a roundabout and a 360 Spider parked up in town.

Anyways... i wrote this here because, i don't have any pics, i didn't want to make my own topic in car chat as i am sure everybody would just do that, and so i posted here just to share my day with you guys :P :D

TT - why do you blank out only some license plates and not others?

I think those he blanks out are all his (same license plate) and he doesn't want us (stalkers) to know who he is and which cars are his. *Goes off to search Lausanne for cars with blanked out license plates.*

Added a Continental GT and an XLR in the first post.

As for blankened plates. I usually blank out all the ones from high-res pics (sometimes I forget, as simple as that LOL), especially because they risk to go around the net while the "signature" size are likely to appear in my signature only. A couple of persons contacted me and asked to blank out some of my signature's pics too LOL. But usually if I keep the signature ones with the plate is to check it a car is the same as previously spotted or not ;) so basically the small ones taken from the high-res posted still show the plate :D

Realy?

So it is safe to sy that some of the cars you sighted are driven by casual JW users?

On the other hand, I always find it rather absurd that someone should ask to have a license plate, that is a public viewable and recorded registration mark that is required to be visible at all times - blocked out of an anonymous image. ;)

I'm 110% with you LOL. I always say it is plain dumb.. I never covered my plates and never will.. not even Jabba does it..

But they always think that showing a plate to a couple or persons living in the US like you is someway more dangerous that showing it to thousands of ppl everyday LOL.

I have to admit I'm fairly sure here in Switzerland it is not allowed to keep private archives of that kind. Of course there is an official registry but you can have access to it only with valid motivations like accidents (and the other car not stopping by)... but anyway I don't store car+owner+addy LOL, just fucking pics :D

But yes, a couple of people saw their cars in our gallery thanks to friend's friend's friends and contacted me :)

This is like driving a Formula 1 car. Only a handful of people can do it. TT is one of the few special people that can do it and has the balls to do it. Of course, he can only do it because he's not human.

lol.....I have the same problem so I'm still looking for the best place to take pics. I was driving down a nice street (where the rich people like to hang out) and since I was being tailgated (meaning I couldn't stop) I was trying to take a photo out the window of a parked M3 and just as I hang the camera out the window the owner walks up and looks at me like I'm the lowest form of human on the earth. :D

BTW, in the first pic (Ferrari 348) is that guy hanging his hand out waving at you or doing something else?
