These are all the pics until the car gets to our house, the battery ran out while i was taking pics so i couldnt take any more. The car should be at our house at like August 1st, so i will take a bunch once it gets here. Yeah TT i know my camera skill suck, gonna take a while before i master it.

Wow, what a fantastic car budagboy2, congratulations to you! I'm sorry if I missed an earlier explanation, but why is the car almost 'new', did the previous owner buy it just as an investment or some such thing?

I can't wait for more pics (btw, those pics are great!) and hopefully some vids of that car in action! 8)

Yeah the owner never drove it, car had about 200 miles on it, not sure if this f50 has the least amount of miles on it. probably not

I think I would have gone mad owning an F50 with only 200 miles on it...

An interesting little fact is the owner of Classic Coach Ferrari(guy who got us the car from the factory) designed the black canvas top, thought it was kinda cool when he told us.

stupid question?
Do they give you something to store the tops on or do you have to just be careful where you place them?

budagboy2
07-24-2004, 10:20 PM
yea it came with a box to store the top in, if you look at the 6th and 7th pic down you can see the box in the backround. part of the roof is on it

totally awesome!! how old do u have to be to drive it where u live? here in australia the age for learner driver is 16. who'll drive it in the meantime?

T-Bird

It's his dad's car not actually his but that's an old story. In the US you have to be 15 to get a learners permit and 16 to get your license once you complete Drivers Ed of course.

BTW not sure if it's appropriate to ask or if you even know the answer but how much do you have to pay for a factory car with only 200 miles on it? I mean that's insane. if you don't want to say how much, was it atleast alot more than one that was actually driven?

Its my dads car, i get a permit at 16 and i can drive at 17. Although i do drive now at 15 with my dad

Congrats budagboy2 just take care when you're old enough to drive it carefully and not wreck it.
Another silly question though, what does your dad do for a living :) or for a ferrari F50

07-25-2004, 09:29 AM
You Will find that an incredible number of F50's are very low millage, and the odd one which is really driven will have a decent amount. I know of a few companys in Italy who just bought F50's and put them in glass boxes, never driven, "investment" as they call it.

Dude....you must promise for hi-res pics man, in a nice scenic location

I can't understand these people who buy purely from an investment standpoint - I am referring to the previous owner here ... how can you just drive 200 miles over 9 years. I bet the owner would have forgotten what it would be like to drive on the open road - it must have happened years back...

I put 1000 miles on my new car within the first week - In fact I think I put on 100 miles on it on the first day - not bad considering I got the car at 6:30 pm and I drove it till 10pm that night.

I agree you can't treat most Ferraris like daily drivers - I am not expecting someone to put in 10000 miles a year or so. But around 2000-3000 miles a year is not unreasonable to ask for, is it?

The problem with most of these garage queens with low miles on it is that they suffer from lack of use through:
- cracking and corrosion of rubber lines, etc
- corrosion of water radiators through coolant contamination, etc.

The garage queens all look nice and shiny from outside but are not that great inside.

Budagboy, hopefully you had a good PPI to make sure that car was in a good shape. Also I hope that you will put some miles on that stallion...

T-Bird
07-25-2004, 12:10 PM
well I'm sure the car is pristeen being that it came from the Factory in Italy so I wouldn't worry too much.

budagboy2
07-25-2004, 12:30 PM
Yeah its fine, the car was run every now and then to make sure its was good. and the oil was changed every year. And now at the shop every liquid is being changed out and new ones put in, just to be safe.

These pics are briliant. Unbeliveble. And only 200 miles. I belive it can be F50 with the lowest miles driven. Ofcourse second after the one in the Ferrari museum. Congratulations :D

Thats an amazing looking F50. But i think that the cars should be driven, thats what they were built to do. Its really clean looking. And whoever had it before must have a TON of $$$. Did u see the cars in the background? 360 Challenge Stradale, damn nice car. But please, drive it, the car should be driven not stared at.
