Looks like they only used the speedometer for reading the topspeed. With that in mind, the speedometer on the GSXR stops at 299.....even if it goes 305 !!!!!

The GSXR750 is designed for the track. I'm indeed surprise to see 299km/h on the clock. This is almost the liter bike top speed.
