Looks OK but does 200HP make a super car?

the front view looks like a NSX with a kit. but i rather spend the 74k on some expensive hooker :P

let's see... 320hp 6spd and cf body, and the best they could do is 6.4sec 0-60? yikes.

74,000 for a Ford V8?!!?

Tomerville
07-19-2004, 04:26 PM
Not very good engineering...for instance, the Porsche Carrera has 320 hp, 6-speed manual and can acheive 60mph in 5.0. This Korean "thing" does it in 6.4 seconds with the same stats, granted the vehicle is mid-engined, the Porsche shouldn't have much of an advantage with its 65% rear bias.

oldsnail

and 225kms isnt a whole lot.. i can do that in a honda accord.

mindgam3
07-19-2004, 06:51 PM
lol, i wouldnt class that as a supercar. A renault clio can nearly beat that to 60, and a clio is probably better looking

I choose the EVO-8 instead of this car...more cheaper and more faster...and looks great 8)

No need for a cheaper version. The moment you put the car key in, the price would drop 50%. When you leave the dealer, it would become $10k. After a week, you can probably get it for free.

That definitely is the ugliest "supercar" around. It almost gives supercar a bad name... they should be banned from using that term!

right..i just googled this car and found that it does 0-60 in *4.6 seconds* NOT 6.4 seconds.

4.6 seconds is pretty good. it still looks like hell, but at least it has SOME performance.

ok, here are the real specs:

-topspeed: 225km/h(2.0L turbo), 230km/h(3.0L), 280km/h(Ford 4.6L V8)
-0-60mph: 6.4sec(2.0L turbo), 6.7sec(3.0L), 4.6sec(Ford 4.6L V8)

Some people can't read. It does the 6.4 s. 0-60 with the 2.0 L. turbo engine. With the Ford V8 it does it in 4.6 s. It still looks kinda' bad, but then again so does every other Korean car I've ever seen. :|

the front looks like a little with that Honda HSC....

but it´s an awesome car indeed...good job, good design

07-30-2004, 09:14 PM
Its reasonably fast, but no way in hell would that be a super car unless it laps a track faster than anything out right now. Its rather expensive aswell. This should be called just a car not a supercar.

07-30-2004, 09:30 PM

Looks like that one kid in your old enlgish class that copy and pasted shit from other peoples sites... If there is going to be a Supercar, at least let it be original, or at least cheap as hell, it is sold in Kia/Hyundai dealerships- come on. Might be fun to drive in but reliable issues might come up seeing how Kia and Hyundai aren't exactly your prime Automotive cars on the road...

$100K for that thing? Only 320 hp? WTF?

320 hp is now supercar status?

When I first saw the topic I was expecting te see some retard's 600 hp hyundai accent tuner car. This isn't much better though, and for the price...well..there's plenty of other, much better, things to buy.

Well...korean labour rates are similar to those in the U.K.

Maybe we should cut those Koreans some slack. After all, they started 15~20 years later than the Japanese and it is pretty impressive on how fast they caught up in the auto business. Their product quality improved alot these recent years, so I kinda respect what they are doing.

I know, it's not an attractive looking car and it is awefully pricey. That's what we thought about the NSX when it first came out too.

05-13-2005, 07:12 PM
I'll take the girls, leave the car :D
Seriously, the model with Ford engine will probably fall apart at 250, and the engine (and some of the wheels too) will continue on their own down the road and reach 280 km/h before hitting something

*edit: the interior looks much better than the exterior....
