Well here's my dads car:
It's a Honda Prelude 2.0i 16V from '92. I really love this car, whe had many cars but this is definetly one of the best. it is a little bit tuned: it has a K&N Airfilter, Sebring Exhaust, new rims and its lowered. The sound really is impressif. it's definetly not a car that makes about 200 decibels when it's just standing still like ricer's. its a quite sound and if you gife full trottle you should hear it. At 3000 - 4000 RPM's in second it sound like a 360 Modena. When i'll ever get a camera i'll surrently tape it
The car self is very low compared to other regular cars, only 122 cm.
Top Speed: +/- 228 km/u
0-100 km/h: 7.8 seconds
Cylinders: 4
CC: 1997
Valves: 16
Max. Power: 147 BHP @ 6.250 RPM
Max. torque: around 200 Nm @ i don't know how much.
So, tell me, what do you think of my dad's car ??? i'm curious...

Nice car! I've always had a soft spot for the fourth gen prelude, its one of the nicer of the series.
I believe our cars share the a similar powerplant (B series), though you've got .2 of a liter on me. I don't think the H series was introduced in the prelude 'till '94.
cleanest prelude ive ever seen. Nice job in not ricing it out. now just drop a turbo in.
A very nice car indeed but is it THE family car? I mean, the rear seats are not really THAT big and I suppose you are at least 3 persons in the faimily..

yes i know, my dad and i where thinking also about the same thing. only a turbo costs much. and the car must also be better compression resisted then. maybe later whe could do it.

Have you done any bolt on mods? Like a simple intake, header, and catback exhaust? 4th gens are surprisingly fast. If not turbo you should consider an h22 motor swap. That motor in the 4th gen can do a 14 second bracket 1/4 mile with a good driver. You should look into it.

eh. I dont believe in turbo charging hondas. I like hondas to be true to N/A. I think N/a is the best way to go anyways. Honda's arent meant to be turboed.

nice, my brother had the same generation prelude, a bit newer , 1996 srv.. it has a higher displacement of 2.2L with vtec. had 190hp stock and it hauled .
now just drop a turbo in.

yea they were, There is a civic hatch with a H22 engine in it, turbocharged it womps on WRXs. Thats going from like 17 seconds to 13/14. Also there is a S2000 around here turbocharged, it puts down 350-400 horses. There is also a supercharged S2K around here. That mother hauls ass.

I've seen a person in Holland wich Prelude goes 0-1/4 mile in only 12 seconds. but it was losing compression. its for sale for €3500...

Hi MopsDrops, We had exactly the same Prelude but then in Dark Green with about the same wheels (design). It was a very fast car indeed. 7.8 sec. is very fast . We had to sell it because I couldn't get in the back anymore...that's why we had to buy an Audi A4 Avant TDI :(
Where in Belgium do you live? I live in Sint-Niklaas :D

Jeezus. S2000's are really fast out of the box, I wouldn't mind taking an FI S2000 for a spin. Hondas should be N/A though. The whole philosophy behind Honda in the first place was to get big power out of small engines without using forced induction, hence the original Vtec and its descendents. FI kills engine response and reliability (which are two big Honda characteristics), not to mention adding a bit of weight to the car.
