Tour de France

Are there any cycling fans here who are watching/following the Tour de France?
I didn't start following the race until about 3yrs ago but now I can't stop watching the highlights every night. The fact that the Aussies (O'Grady, McEwen and Cooke) are doing very well with 3 stage wins and 1st and 2nd overall in the green jersey is helping to raise the profile of the race over here. Obviously they stand no chance in the overall standings where Armstrong will probably win again alhough I hope Jan Ullrich can upstage him for once. :D

Well I watch it live daily even if I'm not a big fan, but it's something nice to have on TV even if just as sort of a background :)

Yeah i follow cycling generally and as every stage is on eurosport n i've got it i try to watch as much as possible. Do quite a lot of road cycling too. How about you dingo??

I've retired from cycling :D, getting to old. Seriously, I did when I was in high school but sort of lost interest in it for some reason.

I watch it every day. Lance said Friday and Saturday were the big days, and as usual he went out and fucked shit up. Only 22 seconds back - Very likely to be in Yellow after Tomorrow.

He has ridden well, but look for him to be out of the yellow tomorrow and fall further and further behind for each of the remaining days. He has given his all, but is mighty tired now.

I know, I know, but it's kind of nice to see such a young rider doing so well, even if it is an ephemeral thing. The way he keeps responding to the crowd and the fact that he knew that he could hold on for just one more day if he pushed that little bit harder...it's what the Tour is all about. Great sport.
