I was given a Ferrari Driving Day as a Birthday present and last Sunday the time finally arrived.
I got to drive 3 Ferrari’s – A 328, 348 and a 355 for approx 15mins each and I have to say that although the 355 has more power than the other cars the 328 was the more enjoyable experience. Maybe if the 355 had been a Spider it might have been different
They were all amazing cars and the engine noise is awesome.
Jabba – Don’t spose you’ll be selling yours off cheap

COol gift!! sould have been a great day!! did you drive them a bit hard? I love the sound of the 328... I could drive one for about 3 mins, too short but damn fun! :D
WOW,congrats SDK
i was told that my mum and dad was looking into that for my 18th birthday (in 17 days. :D ) but when they checked it out,i could only go on it if i had held a full UK clean driving license for 3 years or more.

Very nice pictures SDK...where was the airfield that you went to ? I think I will now be adding to my car collection rather than replacing my current cars...so cant see me selling the 355 in the immediate future....

You Brits are the luckies blokes on the planet.
All the track day stuff, THIS!!!!
I just wish we had stuff like this in Canada. I'd pay 1000$ for this. Honestly. But if we had this in Canada, they would make you pay 1000$ for the insurance...........
WE pay crazy insurance here. For a new drivers its around 6000$, 7000$ for a normal 20 000$ car.
You're really a lucky bastard LOL! I agree with SFD: in UK there are so many interesting offers like that one :)
Can I ask you something? The cost? :)

you madman! is this to say your adding the Gallardo to the stable and not replacing anything? quit hoggin all the cars LOL i understand your position, i would have a hard time parting with such beauties myself.
haha, im in this club too, ive had a go in a 355.
Just wondering in the 355, did you notice the accelerator pedal clicks on and it jerks a bit, you cant be very smooth with the throttle as it sort of clicks into action....
I couldnt complain though, i loved the grear shift too and the turn in on the corners.....
ahhhh, i want another go...

Hummmmmmmm, so the UK seems thge best place to be for once!! p.s welcome to the 355 club lol (I have always wanted to say that..........and you are the first person since I drove the 355 that I could say it to  )
I am seeing a market for some money making here!! lol As you are on a track, insurance is not legally required. I had to sign a form saying that I would pay the first £2000 of any crash damage. For £25 pounds I could have had insurance, which would mean I pay nothing!
I might try and set up my own track day experience somewhere lol! 8)

Thats so awesome SDK damn ive got to start saving harder. What a present. I hope you thanked the person that gave it to you!! :D 15 mins in each is heaps!! More than I would expect from that kind of session. Lucky bugger!
You didnt say much about the 348. Im surprised that you liked the 328 best. What was the 348 like???
And as for Jabba adding to his stable -> great idea. I couldnt sell a 355 and I definately couldnt sell a Diablo. As you said, they are like your kids! Jabba do you mind if I babysit your kids? LOL... If you financially dont need to sell one, then why would you? :D

Thanks for your kind replies :)
I think it cost around £300-£350 which isn’t too bad I spose. Would have been better had it been a proper race track rather than an airfield with a coned out track but it was still good fun :)
Just wondering in the 355, did you notice the accelerator pedal clicks on and it jerks a bit, you cant be very smooth with the throttle as it sort of clicks into action....
Only thing I found was in all the cars my right foot kept catching on the side of the flooring by the pedals but that’s probably just the way I use them.
where was the airfield that you went to ?
Was a place near Oxford called Enstone
