re-EDIT: i just recieved word that this is the Nardo 209mph cirtified, and TG 202mph car!!!! (a silver/black GT hit the remarkable 212mph during the same trip)
the real kicker? 6th gear is for better fuel consumption... the speed is hit in 5th gear!

im pretty sure this is the first photographed sighting of many to follow :)
since i got my new camera, ive learned its quite dificult to photograph, and drive at the same time. enough of my other shots tend to be a hod, or trunklid... mabey TT has some pointers :P
there could've been more photos (i have a few more, but they are all pretty much the same angle) but i was unfortunately, due to be at work in a few minutes time.
enjoy this beaut! :)

Gahhh!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's as if my heart stopped just for it! This surely is the most beautiful modern Ford!!! EVER!
You don't have to be an "american" or "car nut" to appreciate its radiant beauty...
I love this car...and so did hundreds of people when i was at LA auto show when people just wouldn't leave its side despite other exotics on display.
I thought the Lambo showstand was a bit empty...
that is why instead of a digi camera, i use my digig camcorder, easier to hold and use while driving.

Is it just me or ther's something odd about those rims...

07-14-2004, 02:33 AM
nope, just optional BBS forged aluminum wheels, not an aftermarket junk
costs $3,500
http://www.fordvehicles.com/images/featurepopup/GT_fp_025.jpg
standard's also BBS, but is cast aluminum with different design

once again... i love me this car...
they should have used Black Bullets.

I'm not saying those rims are no good, i'm just stating that they do not go too well with the car. Maybe cuz of the color of the car but if the rims were partly black like the stripes.... don't know

It's the key hole. and the metal strip is the door knob. and the scoop on the door is just to pull the door out
that's what i see.

those little holes are questionable since it's a test car I would guess they might be mounting points for cameras possibly.

When can you actually begin to buy this car. I keep hearing about delays in production. This might be one of the first prototype's a few lucky people in Detroit got to buy which is part Ford's testing for the car.

production has begun officially of the 2005 Ford GT. in theory, as well as in truth. a few lucky people in Detroit? well, in a broader sence, for now? yes. :)
ford likes to keep some things somewhat secretive still. but there are a few hitches in the develpment. thankfully, these problems are early enough in the productino stage to engineer these flaws out with reletive ease. the current car being built seems it will have a home in Jay Leno's garage.
i know of two specific problem areas. none of which are catastrophic, but rather annoyances. one of which, im sure Ferrari had concidered equally about the underbody design of the F50.

I've seen a couple of production-spec GTs running around Ann Arbor and in Birmingham, MI over the last few months, but didn't say anything b/c I didn't have camera-proof that I'd seen them at all. The holes are there on them. One of them is a keyhole and the other....well...that I'm not so sure about hehe.

most of those which you speak of have "CP" name. i believe there are 16 in that catagory . while the one i snapped has a "JB" name... both newer, and closer to production spec.
like Vanquish, ive seen a few here and there... but this was the first time i had a camera ready :-D. those include a blue/red stripe, silver/black stripe, and this one several times. all between Dearborn, Wixom, Brighton, and Romulus.
the hole in front of the door confuses me, not the one on the door. just to clear up confusion... er, yeah :P
