in the past i've been tagged with the "supertroll" stereotype and people refer helpless vid-hungry n00bs to me hoping that i'll fully rip a poor new guy's head off. well, i got a pm from one of these noobs asking for vids. he sounded so polite that i took pity on him:

My name is Alex and I’m new here. I really want to download some videos and people say that maybe if your feeling up to it you can help me out. Please take mercy on me and help. lol

to which i replied:

normally i would diss the living hell out of you for asking me this question or just ignore you completely but since you asked nicely i'll give you the answer straight. the truth is i have absolutely no control over who gets access to the videos or not. i'm merely a regular member here, who just so happens to be liked by a few members here and there. plus, people referring everyone to me for videos should really be taken as an inside joke. the real way to get access to the videos is by simply contributing to the site. you can share videos/pictures with people in the forums, provide news articles, or simply post and participate in various discussions. basically just be a regular member of the forums and once the admin feel you're becoming a part of the community, they'll grant you access. it's niether complicated nor selfish. it's pretty straight forward.

any more questions just ask, hope that helps
