That black F50 is simply stunning. New Orleans has lots of Ferrari's as it is a very warm weather climate area, plus it is a kick ass city.

We, megahurts4 and I, researched on the internet about the '#6 Testa Rossa'...and umm, its the Ferrari 330 TRI LM!

The car that graced the cover of the 400-page RM auction catalog, the 1962 Le Mans-winning Ferrari 330 TRI LM, went up for sale late Saturday evening [November 2002]. It took about 20 minutes before the bidding stopped at $6.5 million. Phil Hill, co-driver of the Ferrari at Le Mans in 1962, drove the car up onto the stage to the applause and approval of all those present.

In 2002 it sold for 6.5million dollars!!! Holy SHIT! I wish I would have been there to see it, holy crap...

"Ferrari won Lemans three consecutive years with front-engined prototype sportcars. The last of these victories was taken in 1962 with drivers Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien. They drove this very car, chassis 0808, which was a derivative of the 250 Testa Rossa. This is an especially important car as it was the last front-engined Ferrari to win Lemans."

btw, I gave megahurts4 the heads up about the Ferraris, but I had to be at work so I couldn't go :(. Maybe next time 8).

I immediately recognised the car and then did a search for pictures that I have of it. I was absolutely shocked to see it. You just don't expect it on a sunday drive, even though I have seen an interview with the owner, in which he said he was going to use the car on the road.

Before I could post a reaction and ask if this was indeed the car I thought it was, I read your post. Megahurts is a very lucky guy to have seen it! Too bad you couldn't be there. You sure as hell missed a lot!!

There is definatley nothing sexier than a black ferrari f-50! The f355 is another fave for sure, it is said to be the best "all-around" ferrari, that was....until the 360 modena came out!

I know!!! I was so pissed I missed it...god damn responsibilities ;). I was pissed when I saw the pics of the F50...I couldn't believe I missed seeing that car, but then when we found out how important and rare the Testa Rossa was...arrrgghh!!! :x :lol: :D

Yeah baby!! F50!!! I would still take the F50 over the Enzo... I don't know what it is, but I find it sexier than the Enzo...

That classic Ferrari is also very nice! Not a shape I agree with, but any car with that much history still being driven around earns a whole lot of respect!!!

And yes, I would still take the F355 over the 360. That is, until the successor comes out! It's starting to look like a mini Enzo. I hope they improve on the shape a bit... But not too much... Don't want to surpass the Enzo.. ;)

I remeber that Car, it was sold for 6 and half mil and the guy uses it as his every car to drive to work. Simply amazing.

Jim Spiro is awesome. He drove his F50 (his only car for a few months) to work rain or shine everyday for 2 years. It had over 40k miles and was th ebest running F50 around. Just goes to show, people who drive em not only enjoy them more, but end up with better cars.

^^^YES! I can't wait...I finally have some inside info about the French Quarter Classic...so I won't be missing it this year, even if it means a 330mile drive down from college for the weekend. The last few years I've just read a little write up in the newspaper the day after...but not this year :P
