Some new pics, and really nice. :D
This is a much more manly car than the old model, and the Brabus mods make itlook even better.
I like the massive wheels on such a short, stumpy car and the brown/chocolate leather is gorgeous 8)

lovely..but not much big suprising...
the interior looks quite good!
and maybe Brabus should design a new style of alloy to put on this car! :D

hmmm, brabus doesnt look cool, i dont like modified cars, i have a friend (new rich all the way) who bought an A class and tuned it with 20,000 dlls with brabus... so its just horrible... and the slk, ive seen the old ones tuned by brabus also and doesnt convince me

Yes.i'm sure.
BRABUS K4: That’s the name of the tuning kit that BRABUS now offers for the new SLK 200 Kompressor. The K4 kit increases power output of the new roadster from 163 hp / 120 kW to 193 hp / 142 kW.

I like the interior of the Brabus. They are often very good and achieve to improve even the best.

The SLK 55 looks far better to me than that, but I have the same complaint about both, Where is the fucking manual transmission?!?!?!?

/\/\ Will you grow up and evolve. Kiss the 3rd millenium, now it's all about paddle shifting sequential. It's faster (ok it may not be 100% there yet but it's coming real good) AND ya keep your hands on the wheel, so it's gonna be hellasafer when you get used to it. So get used to it. Or buy an older car.

Thanks for the specs philios55, let's wait until they modify the SLK55....I guess the figures by then will impress ppl more.
Right now the Hartge Z4 5.0 is stealing too much focus!

Are you suggesting that I'm some sort of primordial ooze? Typing would be rather difficult if that was the case hehe. I know how good the recent sequentials and DSG boxes have gotten, and there's even something called Zero Shift that takes a regular manual transmission and reduces shift times to zero. It can take a second off the 0-100mph time of a Cerbera 4.2...and if you remember that that was something like 8.8 seconds originally, that's pretty damned fast. Even so, I'd rather have the physical linkage between my foot, my arms and the engine, steering, clutch, transmission and brakes. I don't much care for the fly-by-wire crap that companies have been coming out with of late and the fact that BMW is now using Microsoft products in its vehicles does other things than inspire me with confidence.
A true manual with a clutch pedal and gated gears will get my money any day of the week.

this car is great...but the performance is a little weak compare to a modified Z4 Hartge... and that blue lights on the first picture? what is that?

I'm definitely with Vansquish on this about the manual gearboxes. I won't attempt to dis-credit the fact that "flappy paddles" are faster, but what about the sense of manual interaction between the car and the great feeling of cross-gate down changes while heel-toeing?
What's the point about them being safer though? Do you need to look at the gearstick whenever you change gears?

Yup, the car looks great, but still, I hate the rear taillights. Reminds me too much of the waterfall design used on the Toyota Solaris and the Lexus SC430.

German AMS-TV reviewed a silver K4 today. It looks really nice IMO. Brabus simply knows how to make even Mercs look better :D
