to tell you the truth i love the perlude's body. itz soo nice. it looks like a real sports carbut i want a better engine for it. one that has lots upgrades. so i may buy a perlude but i need to know if i should change itz engine or not. I live in kuwait maybe a hard to get an integra engine snice the dealer doesnt sell integra cars so may have to order it. By the way what are spoon engines. some one told me that they ar ethe best for honda

I think my SiR uses the B16. It's a fav among local modders here.

This might sound stupid.. but what is so speacil about the B16.. And I hear alot of people favor the B16 over the more powerful b18 ?

the b16 comes in 3 variants tho, which i have forgotten. something like B16D, 88kW, B16B(twin cams) 120kW, B16C(Ciciv Typer-R) 141kW

B18..two variants?

i reckon they're all good except the ones for US designed accord.

The one I'm talking about belongs to Integra..Which got twin cams and about 160 ~ 165hp..

The B18C is probably the best Honda engine from your list. I would prefer having a Civic with a 200hp B18C-R engine though than an Integra. Next choice would be the Prelude. The H22A engine is quite powerful but the body of the Prelude is quite heavy though.

the newest Accord V6 is a great car (screw the 4's) I would get that over all the other's on that list unless you got the S2000 then I would take that.

The newest Accord V6 with a 240hp engine & a 6-speed manual transmission is a great car but when I drove it, it feels more of a touring type of a car more than a sporty car though.

who cares the car is great I like driving my friends when she doesn't want to It's quick for an economy V6

yeah and I prefer more than a Honda N/A 4 Cylinder and FWD (S2000 is great though)

it all depends on what you wanna do to the car? as far as a great motor to start off with do small mods and get decent power the h22 in the prelude is a good platform. its got 2.2 liters, that should speak for itself.

Best engine for honda is the 2.7 v6 it has some of the best specs. I have one in my steerlings and if rover uses it it has to be good. With a 5 speed it is liquid fun.

No one has mentioned the 3.0L/3.2L NSX engine yet? I know some people are talking about V6s, but the NSX's is significantly different from those. That is my favorite Honda engine, I like the S2000's for its unbelievable hp/L, but it just doesn’t compare to the torque or sound of the V6 in the NSX.

What about the V12s from Honda's dominance in F1? I know they aren't even remotely close to road car engines, but they sure as hell showed the world what kind of engineering genius the Honda boys were capable of...

You're all out of your minds! The F22C is BY FAR the best engine Honda has ever made, it absolutely DESTROYS any B, K, ir H series engine. Anyone who has driven an S2000 will tell you that the engine is a masterpiece, and that Honda's numbers for it are EXTREMELY conservative, not to mention that its also the most advanced road car engine that any manufacturer has ever made.

Edit: whoops, sorry, didn't read the entire first post. In that case, having driven all of them, I would reccommend an Integra Type R (B18C5 1.8L 195 HP), if you can find one, but since that is difficult, its a tie between the previous gen Civic Si (B16B1 I believe, 1.6 L 160 HP), and an Integra GSR (1.7L or 1.8L depending on the generation, B17A for '90-'93, 170HP, B18C1 for '94-'00, 180HP, I think). Personally I'd choose the '90-'93 Integra, because its a lot rarer than the newer one and looks better, and because it doesn't look like a goddamn Civic.

B18C1 for '94-'00, 180HP, I think.

B18C1 for 94-00 Integra has 175hp.
