Another supercar drive

We had an interesting run today. A *lot* of illegal driving...a lot of crazy moves through blind corners, a lot of speeding (i got pulled over twice, once was a verbal warning, once i got a ticket for 85+ and the cop says i was racing my friend in the lotus esprit at over 160mph and we should be walking home).

We drove out to the beautiful california coast through the redwood forests, etc.

Our turnout, as I can remember, was:

3x Lotus Esprit (red tuned, yellow tuned, silver tuned)
TVR Cerbera 4.5 (only one in the us)
550 Maranello
360 Spider
Saleen S7
RUF tuned Boxster
Mini
Porsche Turbo (tuned)
3x Viper (one ACR, one GTS, and one that was pushing over 900bhp with nitrous)
BMW M3 (E46)
Mini S
Mitsu Evo
Lamborghini Countach
Some other cars...

We could've had a much better turn-out, but with July 4th weekend everyone was gone.

I, of course, forgot my camera, so I've asked everyone else to send me their photos (sorry TT). I've attached a few samplers for you guys... I'll add more like the group shots when I actually collect the pictures / videos from everyone... Enjoy!

BTW Dan, next time you have high-res pics hosted on imageshack, use the thumbnail code ;) when they are so wide they stretch the page and it is a pain to read replies since you have to scroll the page laterally ;)

Rims are HRE. Scott (owner) said he didn't even consider anything else. They are 18, 295s ont he back, dont' remember up front, 30 profile (but it looks smaller because of the tire itself...michelin profile is designed to look smaller).

I have other pictures of the Muira. My friend Gil (the owner) shows his car and also drives the hell out of it.

I will see what other pictures I have later (going to get some breakfast...it is 1.30pm). I know I have larger shots of his car, but I'm no photographer, so they won't be very cool.

nah 360 easily sounds better than a cebera, although all tvrs do sound real good.

As for the 360 sounding better than the TVR? Not a chance...never liked the 360 noise.

Car isn't from SF, but south SF. Doesn't have a roll cage, but there's only one cerbera in the country...

well i know you have pics and i dont :( but i stood right next to one that was parked here in SF, maybe was visiting a friend? maybe the rollcage was my imagination but i could have sworn seeing it. the area was upper market, around webster and the such if you ever get to talk to your friend.

i couldnt believe my eyes :) there were a few quarts of motor oil just sittin in the back.

yeah ive been home for summer. well have fun in spain, im going to be studying abroad there junior year so you will have to divulge some secrets :) when do you come back? i leave the 3rd week of august, although ill be at the Monterey historics before that.

Back on the 8th...I'll be in monterey for a little bit too. A lot of friends are coming in, so i'll have to show my face. One friend is bringing 4 cars, including the show car for the whole thing (restored p3/4), as well as a lola t70, gt40 and a duesy. The lola, ferrari and gt40 all raced against each other in le mans.

Too many people i know coming in...prolly not gonna show up for much, though. I'll let you know what's ging on.

TT should be there...he will explode. No raid array of drives can hold the number of pictures he'd take over the week... single largest gathering of ferraris, supercars, exotics, classics, etc. EVER.

My buddy is the head pitt guy for 4 Lotus. I forget model specific, as I have never been familiar with older lotus so the names didnt stick. Im not sure if the passes entail going wherever the hell i want, but im going to stretch the limits :D :D

Also, the FOLLOWING weekend, my really good friend(whom im staying with during the historics) will be at Laguna Seca racing his Challenge car with his dad(they both have their own, as well as some other ferraris and race for Orange County ferrari) So if i go to that, im in the pitts for a Challenge race :)

So what is going on with the 550 incident? Thats horrid, wow.

And I saw pics of the 360CS, thats an amazing car. congrats for sure
