From what we wear to the food we eat and our methods of travel - it's all been invented or significantly altered by inventions.

Inventions That Changed The World examines not only how and why life altering inventions got off the ground in the first place, but also how they created a domino effect spawning other essential developments in their wake.

Most likely the version on BBC World is edited. Still better than nothing for those who don't have download access in JW.

Wow again thanks for the heads up :D and again, of course I saw the original episodes, but it would be nice to see them on TV for real.. and maybe they will post them "uncensored".. I don't think it would be so easy to cut them and still let them as cool as they are!

Well of course it was already aired a couple of times in UK, but not older than 2002 or 2003 anyway :)

Jeremy Clarkson on revolutionary inventions. He tells the story of the computer's evolution from man with pencil to microchip. In Victorian times, 'computers' were people who added up rows of figures. Now they are complex electronic wonders that fly planes, drive cars and even run dishwashers.
