Very Nice PICS... indeed!! i'm just about to post those pics, but u have more pics than me...
What is that black thing on the side mirror? a turn light maybe?
Maybe both turn light and follow home lights? but seems to dark to be the latter.. and to big to be the first LOL

good question oantob, i think your right about the turn light.
Q: Is it just a shadow, or is the kit underneath the license plate (front spoiler) a darker colour than the rest of the car? it looks that way in a few shots - i know it's not c/f, but can't help thinking about the m3 csl's use of carbon fiber on the front splitters.
I love the style of this car, bangle is my homeboy.
The bumper seems a single piece, I see the shadow you mean, but no junctions, so it should be just a shadow I guess. And if it would be carbon, they wouldn't paint it :D everybody love barecarbon bits here and there :D

Thanks for the pics, although I can't say I like the car all that much! I love the regular 5-series, so I don't really understand why...

according to my source, this car has a electronic limited top speed of 155 mph... but if you could remove this thing (maybe a chip) this baby could go up to 205 mph (around 330 km/h)
and to hit 100km/h from 0 takes only staggering 4.7 secs 8)
and if you see this pics it shows how beautiful the interior is with the new SMG that is improved by 20% more faster shifting

why must so many cars have the ugly parking aid!? is the right side rear-view mirror tilting down not good enough!? IMO, it makes the rear bumper look soo ugly...

I start to like the Exterior...but interior suck shit....the steering..the dash.

this is not the 7 series idrive, this is the updated and more user friendly I Drive. And that interior is magnificent. They hit the bullseye there, not to much to take away from the driving experience. and that steering wheel, look at the grip you get.

The car looks stunning, but I hate the SMG.
hey man, I used to dislike the idea as well, and driving a 530i with the SMG didn't help much...until I found the sport button  which did wonders....then, just yesterday, I drove an M3 with the SMG for about 1.5 hours throughout the day, mostly on tight backroads, and lemme tell ya, that SMG system is marvelous. The SMG on the M3 can do something like 150-millisecond shifts (comparing my memory with a stopwatch), and they're dont well. For someone who wants stickshift but doesnt want to always worry about everything involved in shifting yourself, then the SMG is awesome. There are some of us car enthusiasts who would prefer an SMG to a manual for everyday driving with a car like that. Also:
the new SMG that is improved by 20% more faster shifting
now that is amazing. If the SMG on the M3 (sport button on, DSC off) is aggressive and quick enough to make the tires squeal going from 1-2 AND 2-3, then i can only imagine how good the new M5's SMG is gonna be...hopefully they'll implement that new SMG into the M3 (7- or 6-speed)

Starting to like this car. . . especially the engine.
But yeah Tom, you should see the new ones on the 911, they absolutely destroy the look of the bumper in my opinion.
For a big car such as a 7 Series, or a S Class, or XK it looks alright. But yeah, it doesn't fit well on this car either.

On some of the car there is a small rear spoiler, maybe it will be an option :? But my guess is it´s gonna be standard as on the E39

It´s not only an engine cover but an airbox too :D and a very big one 8)
Have a look at this (source Autoweek):
"Another new feature is the M5’s power button. At start up, the driver is given access to 400 hp in a default program, dubbed P400. Depressing the button unleashes P500 and the engine’s full 507 hp wallop along with a more responsive throttle. In P500 BMW says the new car will hit 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and its 155 mph top speed in 14.9 sec. With its speed-limiting chip removed, BMW says its new sedan will reach 205 mph, although company policy prohibits official modification, even at the dealer level. "
I think it is a pretty neat idea cause you don´t really need 507 bhp all the time but they are there when you need them and this way you could also be able to save some gas and take good care of the engine 8)
I just LOVE this car sooooo much :D

Have you ever seen a BMW engine under the plastics? It really doesn't look nice at all. BMW could learn a thing or two here from Alfa Romeo and their 156 GTA. That engine looks stunning!
But anyway that is a bad ass car! But I still think the E39 M5 looks better than the E60. I must say i'm not that big fan of Chris Bangle. But that engine!!! BMW is gonna win the price for best engine of the again.... As they have done so many times in the last couple of years

This car is bad ass; I'm not too fond of the looks, but the performance this car can dish out will more than make up for that.
Considering that BMW added 2 cylinders to the M5, I wonder what will power the next generation M3?

I read in an article that it has a little button, and if you press it, the power automaticallu reduces to 400BHP in stead of the 500BHP, handy for in the town when you go shopping :)
