Who else has had them out. I got mine out monday, and i cant eat, or drink to much of anything. My jaw feels like its been in a fight, and i cant even sleep well with it. I have some shitty pain pills supposedly better than vikes, 550 MG but they just make me dizzy and i throw up. God damnit i think ive lost like 5 lbs cuz i cant eat, and what i do eat i throw right back up, which cant be good for the stiches. SOB wisdom teeth. Those Fockers shall rot in hell. You have no clue how much i want a Papa Johns Pizza, or a BBQ burger so bad right now. Or how i long for a nice steak. To all those with no teeth problems right now. You lucky SOBs. Also my wisdom teeth gave me some gum disease back there, so now i gotta go get that taken care of. Fuck wisdom teeth.

i got all of mine out in one go even though i didn't have any infections or such. it didn't hurt or anything but the swelling was annoying. i just had shakes everyday. i added a few kilos instead, should of used low fat milk.

I had pretty much the same a couple of years ago. Because the wisdom tooth that needed to be removed was growing into the other teeth at an angle, my dentist had the brilliant plan to cut below the 'head' of the wisdom tooth. He would then break the 'head' off and pull out the root. Excellent plan, but like with most plans, reality is a little different. Eventually he had to cut it in four pieces and used brute force to break the parts. Although I had local anaesthetics I felt with my neck how he put his wait into it when breaking away. So when the anaesthetics had faded you can guess how it felt.

Afterwards I had a non-symmetric face for a few days and could hardly eat because of the pain. Before dinner you've got a huge appetite, but after a few bites and all the pain it causes you seemed to have lost it. So I know what you're going through, blah. Good luck with it. There's no other way than sitting it out.

you are luck, I got mine taken out on Thursday the 17th. All four, along with some bone that needed to be shaved away in order to take out the impacted tooth. It was SO painful, you have no idea.

Just eat lots of popsicles, and apply them directly to the sore gums...it will do wonders to stop the bleeding.

i got mine removed about 3 months ago.
no big deal, i went into surgery for half a day, and when i came out they had my mouth under local anastetic (i had them out under general) and i coulden't talk, and basicley had to eat soup for a few days, but one thing that did piss me off whenever i laughed the stiches would hurt!!!

but the painkillers worked reducing alot of the pain.

the doctor was exelent, and it all went very well, so i am quite pleased seeing as some people had bad experances.

I got all 4 out just to let you all know. And this weekend is July 4th and guess who cant celebrate the true american way. SOB Soup on the 4th instead of BBQ Baby Backed Slow roasted ribs? :x

Mine came in straight, so they only hurt for a day or two. Just another reason why I rule.
I'm sure the Dentist will tell me soon that they should be pulled anyway. Thieving bastards.

Got mine taken out like 2 years ago. The process of removing them was painless. It was just disturbing that I could hear the cracking and see blood, but not feel any of it. I didn't have any problems after getting them removed. I had a small head ache but that was all. The pills that prevented the swelling actually worked because my gums didn't swell at all. The only problem was that it was hard to eat things with only the front teeth. Another problem was that when I went to sleep that night, I was drooling blood on to my shirt  .

I had mine out 6 years ago. I ate a lot of mashed potatoes. I thought getting the, taken out was somewhat fun. probably cus i was high on nitrous. as for the pain it didnt much matter since i was on painkillers for breaking my tibia a week before.

I got mine out about a year ago. I was put out by the dentist and when I came to, apparently I was talking like a damn moron. The dentist, at the time he got the new WRX STi and I just kept telling him that I love that car and kept telling him all the specs. He was laughing at me i guess. I was drugged up for the rest of the afternoon and my mom made me just sit there. I came up with a brilliant plan at the time that she should give me a pot and a stick and I was banging away at this whenever she came. Most of this shit I don't remember at all because I was drugged up pretty bad. I was swearing at my brothers (which I don't normally do) and just laughing alot...from what I have heard. But the next day....and month was absolutely terrible...I get shivers thinking about it. Every day, I had to gargle a cup full of salt water three times a day. and so all day I had that taste in my mouth...felt weakall the time...just real shitty....anywho....Wisdom teeth can suck it :fist:

Whether you can feel them bothering you or not is beside the question. If they grow at an angle towards your other teeth that can cause your other teeth to be pushed out of line. For that reason alone you should get it pulled, otherwise your other teeth get misaligned.

shit i'm havining second thoughts about getting them out. even though i'm scheduled to go in like 6 days now, They bother me only once in awhile.

Get them out, they can grow wrong, and infect your sinnus, or your blood through your jaw area. Its worth it to get them done. 4-5 days of pain or a lifetime of not bieng able to taste? Im on the 4th day everyone, so today is also the last day of the worst pain. it started yesterday and today is the last of the worst! Wish me luck, also friday is my check uo.

last day of pain is almost over. I can fully move my mouth. and i can chew with my middle teeth now. w00t for me. Also a tip for future wisdom teeth people. Sleep as much as you fucking can. When you sleep you cant feel the pain. As soon as you wake up rinse your mouth out, and brush your teeth, eat something then take the pain pill and go back to sleep. I do this now and i havent felt the full on pain. Tommarow is my check up lets hope all goes well.

Just fucking great! I was supposed to have mine out 3 years ago. Two have started coming in, one of them I am lucky to say is impacted. My dentist told me that if I take good care of them and they don't bother me, then don't worry about them. He recomended that I get them out but after hearing all of you horror stories maybe I'll put it off just a little longer....

Depends on the person whether you'll feel much pain or not. I personally didn't feel any pain, or anything for that matter. But I'm a little weird according to my friends. The day I got braces I was eating pizza for dinner lol. My friends were like little girls drinking soup and nibbling on their food.

glad to hear you are all better now. yea i had my 2 bottom ones taken out and i was put under. i had the same experience as Apac102 because when i came out of the anastesia i was babbling on about nothing apparently, i just kept asking if y teeth had been pulled yet. afterward i had the vicodin that worked pretty well.

like a few weeks after the infection i had gotten food stuck in one of the holes and the hole had closed up and it swelled up again so the Dr. had to reopen the hole and like "milk" the infection out. that had to be the worst thing, i didnt even get any novacaine. hurt like a bitch, so my advice is to make sure you dont get anything stuck in your gums.

I guess each person either has a painful or painless experience when your wisdom teeth out.

Mine were taken off a few months ago, and it was painless. The only pain is just a little pinch that you get when a anesthetic needle is injected in your lip. Also, pressure is put on your face when the tooth is getting yanked out, but it does not hurt. For some reason, when they took my right wisdom tooth out, it had a curved shape, almost the letter "C" shape, strange...

btw, Blah, the Ruben sandwich is amazing..

I got one of those plungers. Its remarkable how much food gets up in the wound areas. When you flush it all out.
