I was just sitting here and thinking, do you really want a supercar? I mean, once you drive it, all other cars will be too boring to drive. No more flooring it in your honda Accord and getting that rush feeling even though it is 0-60mph in 8 seconds. And then you don' thave the sensibility as a normal car. You won't have anywhere to put the groceries! Plus, the supercars are pretty big cars. They aren't as small as lets say an Audi A4 to weave through traffic. And again, once you drive a supercar, all other cars will be completely boring. so.....maybe I don't want a supercar if I ever had the chance to get one.....or maybe I just crazy......ya thats crazy talk. But just something to think about

my friend said he wanted a ferrari Enzo for his first car. I told him "That would suck, where the hell would u go from there!?!" When he bored of it, hed have what to choose from!?! A Mclaren F1, or a Porsche Carrera GT!?! it would completely suck. Personally, the only supercars I can see myself driving are the Ford GT, S7, and Mclaren SLR for a cruiser/bruiser. Id never want an Enzo, or mclaren F1, or carrera GT, or any ferrari/lambo for that matter. I could see myself driving a GT2 or GT3, but thats the highest end porshe id go... Id much rather take something thats fast for what it is and make it comparable to a supercar. I think its a lot more satisfactory building ur car up as you want it for years to make your "perfect" car, rather than buying someone elses "perfect" car and having nothing to upgrade.

LOL...as if getting an Enzo as your first car is even possible!
That is like saying after driving a van your bike will get boring. Sure you aren't going to be able to do things in an Accord that you will do in a supercar, but the logic of that is weird... with a supercar why would you waste time and money on an Accord- basically what Skituner said.
I agree with gimp. When i go bike racing down some hills that i get up to 70k i still have a shit load of fun going down a 60k hill.der are so many things to keep you happy in an enzo.My only problem is,The enzo is my favorite car.If i owned one 70% of my day dreaming about cars would be gone,But i guess i would be thinking about the next time i will drive it instead.

i c ur point but i dont think it could happen to me, cause he only difference is that instead of thinking about the supercar i would b driving it, and u can always do something to a car, well at least me there is not a perfect car, there is always something to do, or u can always buy a car uve always wanted and mod it

lol wow...didn't expect many posts as this got! I was kinda just joking. I would love to have a ENzo or Carrera GT. A new one would come out and it would be faster then that until they start to just make electric cars where we won't be able to go fast and then it will do all the driving where we just have to sit in the car and it takes us there. SO I say, Have fun while it lasts!
Of course man needs a super car
That's what u dream about when u're still a young boy~ Isn't it???
Once u bought the Enzo or McLaren..
U'll addicted to showing around everywhere..
Never mind the practicality...
Cause you definitely got another car for shopping~
Damn I just wish I'm the millionaire!

for practical reasons, if i owned a supercar, i would also own a "practical" performance car like a BMW M3 for everyday use. that way, going to the grocery wouldn't be much of a problem, and i don't think it will be a bore to drive as well.

i dunno, if you can afford an enzo, you could probably drive a GT2 everyday.

actually some supercars are quite small. i personally consider the Gallardo a supercar, and having been up close and touching it and all, i have to admit its tiny in person. if you put a Jaguar S-Type next to the Lambo the Jag looks like a monster truck:P So i'd image that would be quite easy to go through traffic.

The only supercar I want is the Ferrari F50.
otherwise I won't own a supercar. Too expensive, too big (incompatible with the real roads). A TVR Sagaris or a T350C would be perfect. Or a GT3 but not a Ferrari CS (paddle-shift, I want to change gear myself)
A little car, powerful, light. This is for me the way to enjoy. How can I have fun in a road with a car like an Enzo?too big. Someone would say: use it on the track! But in a track I would be faster with a Radical.
Sorry but I don' like supercars. Only F50

550 may not be considered super-car, but it's super-fast. I can carry lumber (yes, I have pictures of the car @ th elumber mill where "Joe" told me I have the coolest truck ever), groceries (no problem unless you go to Costco), people (fit 3 people two days ago...one on the rear shelf...should've taken a picture), bikes (with the rack), etc.
Am I bored? No. Do I want more? Hell yes.

BTW, the 550 is decently small. You have no idea the spaces I've fit into (on the road...ahem...not that I drive above the speed limit or in a manner less than legal).

I reckon even someone who drives a supercar would still have fun in my Mini.
Supercars may be awesome to drive, but some cars are just plain fun.
Each car may have its own characteristics that entice a driver to have fun in it.
There aren't any FWD supercars for example, yet FWD's can be great fun to drive. Not as fast, but still fun.

Hmmm.. What should I choose? This 360 CS or this superpractical Vauxhall Zafira?
Yes, I think I'll get the Zafira, because that's so boring.. Then I can't be disappointet of any other car... :?

68-998: Minis (original esp.) are WAY fun.
One cool thign to do with FWD cars: find some fiberglass trays. Go to an empty parking lot, put the trays under the rear wheels and lock them in place (chock blocks), and then go driving about. Fishtailing with control...lots of silly fun :D

A supercar is not a daily driver. They would be awesome to own and drive but are not designed for everyday use. It is a bit like a purpose built drag car, fun to use but you dont go shopping in it. If I had the chance, owning one would not be a question but I would keep the daily driver also...

Not totally true. Jim Spiro drove his F50 in rain or shine everyday for two years, putting on 40k+ miles before he sold it (2.5 years).
Besides, Gordon Murray wanted the big Macca to be the best driver's car - and totally practical for everyday use.

Supercars like ferrari's lamborghini maserati are noting for me .
But what i love two is take a stock escort cossie or chevy camaro from the sixties and rebuild it two may spec(protouring style) or something else in that style with better performanche than a stock ferrari or lambo.
:o

I think if you're really into your cars (as you ALL must be to post here on JW) then there its pretty unlikely you'll get bored with a supercar.
My preocupation is when i'm next going to drive the car, and how i can earn some more money to keep running it
Oh, and i still enjoy driving my GTi on non-lotus days btw. A fun car is a fun car, however fast it is - like the guy with the mini - its a blast to drive one of these. Anyone who likes cars will enjoy a mini - even if you have a bunch of supercars in the garage too :D

I think the solution is simple, get one or two supercars and buy a nomral car, lets say an audi a4 or an bmw 330i, so what to do with the cars???? well one of the supercars you use it on weekends, the other one on race tracks or gumballs and the audi or bimmer for everyday so theres the solutionnnn
