Gis' situation

hey people. i know some of you have been worrying about Gis as he hasnt been on for quite some time, and he usually sleeps on this board! the problem is the cable outside the house that provides his internet connection has been cut due to works on the road (i think) and therefore he cannot get back on. i have been informed that this will carry on for up to a week. btw id like to thank those who worried for the concern for the lad! thanks alot people, see ya around! :D

Thanks for the info I'm sure he'll TT and everyone else will be relieved nothing serious happened... i have to say i didn't know he had gone missing until today as i only access the site from my local library now as my internet at home is incredably sloooooow recomend the library to Gis if he gets JW withdrawel symptoms :P :wink: - free broadband in every one i think! :D

But considering he went offline the 22nd of June... dang.. how is it possible that in 2004, in UK, a phone company needs 10+ days to fix such problem? And maybe not only one house touched I guess.. did they just left some families w/o their phone line for amost 2 weeks? Fuck, they should pay danny's family's bills for the rest of their life in exchange for this shitty service!

Well ive been using mobile phone as my primary phone for like 3 years , with 500 minutes for 30 dollars its dang cheap ! , plus i hate to call to houses and ask for ppl , so all my calls are from cell to cell :D

I dont even have a house phone, and more and more people are getting rid of them here as for some people its cheaper to have and use a cell phone than the house phone....... :wink:

lol interesting end to this thread about mobile phones.the reason i didnt txt squeek was because i was int he process of getting a new mobile phone,lol as my contract i was on was fucking robbing me,lol

its a long ass story and im sure ill be chatting with a few of you during the day on MSN.so ill catch up with u on MSN and tell u whats been goin on.

a simple part of it to reply to what TT asked about why it took longer than 10 days to get fixed.well simply 42 houses were out without TV and internet/phone.jjust over a week ago 41 of those houses got fixed...........that last house was me who got the worst damage of the lot and needed everythin re-laying.which happened today.so for them to fit new cables and wiring through the house,took them 15 days.the good news i hope was the cables they layed back down were for broadband,so im hoping to hear from them soon with broadband news.

How do you download videos from the vault gis? You use a 56k modem to do that? You must have the patience like no others...

lol taking a break isnt in my modems dictionary.although i think it got annoyed and thats why i aint been on for 2 weeks coz the modem took a vacation.

anyway,to d/l videos i leave the internet on pretty much all the time.even when im out and asleep
