How could the clutch blow up all of a sudden? That's scary!

I agree - how did it just blow out?? Was it slipping all along or...?

BURNouts ;) are meant to burn rubber ;) not clutches ;) but of couse if it had already so many miles, it's not that big of a surprise, but still it had to be slippery even 3 days ago if it already gave up.. or else those 3 burnouts were very long and with the clutch half engaged all the time :D

Well, it was you driving the car for the past 3 days.. didn't you notice anything suspect "slipping" of the clutch?

Nice, my dad has the same model year although he has the cheepo version with cloth seats, hubcaps, etc. Good fun in a straight line, handling after 120,000 on original shocks and struts leaves something to be desired but hey still a great car and very underrated.

i was surprised at that too a family friend was selling a GXE Manual and i tried it to go to the library but it turned out i didnt spend much time in the library but more in the car. nice change from a minivan dude and 3 burnouts in 3 days thats one everyday

I drove the newer version with the 222 hp V6 and it was pretty damn quick. The only reason we didn't buy it then was because it was winter and it just sucked ass on the snow.

LOL - I know of quite a few "new drivers" that have gone Fast 'n Furious on their "new" high mileage econobox rides and fucked em up in less than a week.

I am suprised the car survived 3 burnouts - ;) -- but then again, like fishing stories and such I am sure "3 burnouts" is what you told your folks - but it was more like "3 days of burnouts". :)

I guess that was one way to learn "if you wanna play - you gotsta pay" :D

a great first car indeed! is your transmission a five speed or a six speed? my buddy and i are having an argument that, and he says that the manuals are taken out of the 300zx, and i dont beleive him, because its a front wheel drive car. i take it it has the 3litre v6, which was shared throughout the nissan line back then.

Sachmo12345
