Superb car and amazing pics :D

Now all we need please, is a JW custom shot ;) I mean, just take the owner manual out of the gloves box and take a pic with it on either the boot or the bonnet of your car :D

Thank in advance!

What do that lambda & knocklink thingie do?

The LambdaLink is a basic A/F ratio meter, which I use when boosting so I know that there's enough fuel. The KnockLink lets me know when the engine is knocking, or close to it - both are essential for trouble-free boosting :)

The reason why I have so many meters is because I drive very fast and hard just about every day (there is no *enforced* speed limits in Thailand, and there is always and empty road or freeway somewhere) - so the temperature meters assist me in determining when the car's had enough  The pressure meters also let me know when something's not right. Sure its a bit "over the top", but at least I'll know when something's gonna blow up or break before it does :D (there are warning lights on each of the meters, and a big one on one of the meters mounted in the middle, which also lights up in my face when something's not right)

Geez.. i'm supposed to prove to you that its really my car? Check the owner of turbopanda.com - it should match my real name on Jabba's World.. look at my avatar - same car, at an autocross/gymkhana race I participated in..

(Sorry but I don't have the owner's manual of the car.. I bought it second hand a little over a year ago.) How else am I supposed to prove it to you?

Very nice car though where in Bangkok can you drive it? I was there a few years ago and the traffic's worse than what we have over here.

I thought of this rather unique way on proving the photo's authentic. Put a laptop inside the car with this thread displayed on the LCD. BTW how much did you get it for? What mods you yourself add? typing while tipsy's a bit hard. hurrah for watered down Ozzy beer.

Yeah traffic is bad.. but there isn't traffic everywhere.. if you live on the outskirts of Bangkok (like I do) there's a lot of open roads to play :)

Nevermind.. today I took pictures of it at the paint shop inside Porsche Thailand (i'm having it repainted right now) - so i'll post a pic of that up along with 3 asian Porsche Carrera GT Cup cars which are getting fixed/prepped up in the same place :)

True... I can't imagine the whole city being packed. Do you race it around circuits or just drag? How much is the VIII going for over there?

Check out my VIII over here (http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10965). It has photos of my car and the "proof" photo TT's asking for. Very nice setup. Respect! Another idea is to take a photo with that day's local paper. Just suggestions... Heck why not a photo of a hot girl in your car. That'll take people's mind off the manual. ;)

Another idea, print out a this topic, or JW's homepage and put the sheet of paper on your car ;) something like that :D
But definitely yes, same name, a matching avatar and so on could be used by anybody ;) it's not only for us, but also for you ;)

Well.. here's a picture of my car in the paint shop inside Porsche Thailand.. just took it today...

http://boost-up.com/pictures/turbopanda/2004-06-21/painting.jpg

And pictures of 3 of the race cars from the asian Porsche Carrera Cup, as promised, can be found here (http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=12553).

(EDIT: OK.. looks like st-anger deleted the post - guess I shouldn't have posted the pics in his forum..)

For those of you curious.. my Evo is maintained and modified/tuned at the motorsports division of Porsche Thailand. Not exactly cheap, but most probably the best garage in Thailand..

I'm having it repainted white. Then i'm considering selling it. I've been playing with Honda's and this for years now.. I'm starting to feel like i'm getting old for this boy-racer stuff.. want to move on to something more luxurious.. i'm thinking about getting a 2004 A4 1.8T or maybe a 330i/330Ci.. something that looks good, yet is peaceful and easy to drive :D

evopanda, I understand you can't take a custom shot if your car is beeing resprayed these days, but next time read the rules ;)

http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?p=124881#124881

And about this: be prapared to provide a custom picture to prove you actually own the car or at least it is in your family. usually we request a picture of the owner manual on the car

And since you are unable to provide such pics, maybe you should have waited before posting the topic ;)

My bad.. I guess I should've read that sticky before posting. :? Well, the shop says it'll be ready in a couple days.. so i'll write JW or something on a piece of paper and stick it against the back of the car :D

evopanda, take it from me.. I drove some MB SL .. 330ci and many other luxurious sports car.. I still like driving the Evo most on any racing event.. The car just blows my mind.. It's fast and handles super great.... By the way the orange Evo 7 below this text belongs to me.. ( I say keep your Evo, rebuild the engine with stronger internals and get a bigger turbo..) By the way what ECU do you have on your car ?

By the way what ECU do you have on your car ?

As far as I know, its a stock ECU (looks like a stock ECU ;)), although someone told me that it could be running a Ralliart ECU, due to the fact that there is no speed limiter (i've been over 240km/h in it before) and I can push the boost up as high as 1.3 bar without having any sort of boost/fuel cut and still being able to run an ok AF mixture, with a *little* bit of engine knock in the high revs (probably because i'm using 95 octane). :P

You lucky b*stard. That's one of my favorite cars. If I could have gotten a hold of one here in the states I would have bought one instead of my current car.

Your Evo looks awesome evopanda! My dad is thinking of selling his Evo 6 TME too but I'm persuading him not to, and the same goes to you man. This is probably the best Evo ever. The fact taht it bares the Tommi Makinen name makes it ever better. :D

That makes it what, 3 Evos on JB?

TT is a hardass, but a damn fine one. ;) I just went thru about 15 threads, and if it werent for your "...honestly, gimme the damn custom shot!", then the Ride/Drive Section would be a craphole  thanks

I'm thinking of finally letting go of the evo next week - had an offer for it which is too good to refuse (even though i don't really want to sell it) - will probably replace it with a BMW E46 325Ci and do that up. Won't be as fast.. but I guess it'll be more luxurious and classy :)
