The Danish Dahlback is pretty close to rice. It's still an amazing car though. With all 900hp. How is the Evo not Rice? that looks awfully like a Veilside body kit, and Euro clear tailights!

Whit rice i mean no engine mods and a ugly bodykit.
The monster golf is no rice.
And the for the yellow evo it's the fastest streetcar in stockholm.
his year I´m driving it with 9,0:1 compression and 2,1 bar boost with 98 octane (standard gasoline in sweden) ...

With Racefuel I´m boosting 2,5 bar ...

Should be around 700bhp now ...

I´ve put about $20.000 into the car this winter in modifications ...

Some mods made this winter:
Raised comp.
New head with larger valves
New intakesystem
Aquamist
New final gear (changed gearratio)
Harder bushings (Powerflex)
New tires - Yokohama Advan A048
Throttlekicker
HKS Twin-power ignition
etc. etc. etc.

Total cost this far (incl. the standard car cost) is about $200.000 ...

0-100km/h (0-62mph): ~2,5s
0-200km/h (0-124mph): ~8,5s

The fastest car in Stockholm (Capital of Sweden)

Out of all the tuned pics, I'll give credits to the team who fixed up the Cayenne.

THAT'S how a sportscar-quick super-SUV should look like. Any idea on how much it's going for?

The Hartge Z4 is brilliant as well. Nice rear bumber tweak.

I hope Hartge does an E60 M5. I would love to see what they do with it. They're not OTT like Hamman (sp?) or "that's it?" like AC Schnitzer.

The jap cars were mostly rice to a point, but at least they were tastefully done. The Top Secret 350Z should have done away with the front wheel well cutouts and should have colour coded the rear wing.

I know alot of people think Top Secret cars are ricey but they are definitely not your tipical Honda Civic they are all Form FOLLOWS Function and they almost all have Skyline engines including the Supra except the Gold 350Z which has a Lexus engine. I'm not a fan of their graphics but it's called advertising their shop since they are raced at tracks and whatnot.

Modded Esprit? This belongs to a friend of mine.. he's had his Sport 350 modded by the guys who ran the Esprit GT1 race cars a few years back, Mike Haines Racing. It has carbon doors, roof, rear deck, spoiler plus GT1 spec arches and front splitter, huge six-piston AP brakes, centre bolt mag alloys plus race (programmable) ecu, big intercoolers off one of the race cars, reflowed turbos, carbon seats and harnesses.

There's probably a bunch of stuff i've forgotten. The car attracts quite a bit of attention as you can imagine.

Not been on a dyno but i'd guess somewhere around 450-480 bhp plus the carbon has brought the weight down to around 1000kg. A stock esprit sport 350 is about 275 bhp per ton - this is 450 bhp per ton which is same territory as zonda, edonis, F40 etc and not far off an enzo (484 bhp/tonne according to Evo). To put it into perspective, a Lamborghini Murcielago is 351 bhp/ton.

I'll see if i can find some more pics.. Mike only driving it a couple of times since its been completed so no performance figures (in fact its still being set up..).

Gearing currently is stock, so it will run out of revs at 180mph like any other esprit, unless the big wing causes too much drag.. its built for track use really so top speed is not relevant.

What do you guys think of the carisma tvr cerbera??

For some, the unveiling of the Carisma TVR Cerbera has meant more questions than answers. So, we decided to let Carisma's Jamie Shaw have his say...

Jamie, why a TVR?

Well, 0-60mph in 3.9secs and a top speed of 190mph as standard is the first reason, although I bottled it at 175mph. But it's also a car that no-one's done in the modified scene before, plus it's pretty affordable in the second-hand market for the higher end of the Max readership.

Are you forgetting about the lower end of the market, then?

They wouldn't look at me any differently if I'd done a Skyline or an Evo VI. It's a car in the same price bracket. But the best thing is, it's British.

Why did you paint it gold and not a mad flip?

Do I ever go down the same route as someone else? Sometimes, simple is best, and I'd like the car's appearance to catch your eye rather than the colour. I know it's a bit like the Japanese Top Secret Gold, but I wanted a hardcore racer look, and to translate that look into the British scene is pretty new. I've also made sure it's a more vibrant gold than the Top Secret cars. So you could say I've modified the idea.

Would you say this is a pioneering car, like your R5?

I didn't necessarily do it to be pioneering. It was to say: let's stop the clock and do something completely different. Personally, I think it does suit the up-to-date styling that's about at the moment. Some people will disagree, but that's what it's all about. Everyone's got different tastes and that's a good thing. It's a healthy situation.

How long did it take to build?

About 12 weeks, and that's working between 15 to 18 hours a day, seven days a week. It would normally be about six to eight months.

You're a big influence on Maxers, but who influences you?

Not just one thing. Taking the most up-to-date products worldwide, then making them unique, so you're staying one step ahead of what's new on the market.

We know you drive your cars, but what would you say to folk who don't believe us and see your cars trailered to shows?

When you're in work for 12 to 15 hours a day, it's hard to find time to drive the car. But when the time is there, and if you want to win 'best of show', you can't drive it every day. As the guys read this, the TVR should be landing in LA, ready to take on America at this year's SEMA.

What one car would you like to get your hands on?

From time to time I look at a car and think it's got potential. But if I could only have one car again I'd stick with the Renault. I just love the Renault, that's my roots.

If someone wanted to be 'the next Jamie Shaw', what tips would you give them?

There's loads of different things that go into that. Determination, daring to be different or going against the grain of what everyone else is doing. Organisation, efficiency and doing your utmost to keep quality of workmanship high.

Some people say the TVR wouldn't be on the Max cover if you hadn't built it. What would you say to them?

That's a tricky one, isn't it? A cover car's ingredients are unique and individual with all aspects of modifications covered at the highest quality possible. All I'd say to them is: doesn't our car have the ingredients? You can't force anyone to do anything, when you dare to be that different you always get people saying they don't like it. I had it with the Renault. Sometimes it takes time to settle in. I'm not telling everybody to go out and buy a TVR, but going against the grain has always been the way forward. And, whether right or wrong, if you came out for a night down Southend seafront, I'm sure the feeling it'd give you would answer all doubts.

HKS Evo's VII and VIII
http://superstreetonline.com/featuredvehicles/130_0301_EVO_LEAD_z.jpg
http://www.hksusa.com/images_products/trb03.jpg
"It was the HKS that may have provided THE car of the show though – following in the tradition of their “time attack” Altezza of a few years ago, HKS released a monster HKS CT9A TRB-02 Racing Performer Evo VIII to steal the show. The time attach Evo VIII sports a j. Lo look with the most carbon fiber this side of a Ferrari Enzo. The VIII has already smashed track records with hot shoe Nobuteri “No One Better” Taniguchi behind the wheel.

Of course it would all mean nothing if the car didn’t utilize the company’s products and the VIII does not disappoint with a laundry list of products. The list goes something like this - HKS GTII turbos, EVC, FconV Pro, HKS 820cc x 4 injectors, HKS SUS intake, HKS intake 272 camshaft, and HKS exhaust 272 camshaft. We also find out that Godzilla incarnate rides on 18” Advan RGII Prototypes wrapped with Yokohama Advan AO48 rubber. Oh yeah, it makes an ungodly amount of horsepower - 550 ps (542 hp), but you knew that already."
