I just find the guy to be cocky and whenver I see him on tv or on a talk show, he seems like he owns the place...this is my opinion. I added schumacher in there because he just kicks ass. If I was going have someone realistically comparable it would be Orange County Choppers.

how exactly does he think he's the shit? if you're talking about his show monster garage, i think you need to watch more carefully. first of all it is HIS show, so he has the final say on everything. second of all, i've seen just about every episode ever shown, and 99% of the time there's jackasses ruining the build with their bitching and whining. any normal person would jump in, beat everyone with a giant monkey wrench, staple their genitals bloody then tell them to shut the hell up (or at least that's what i'd do). jesse on the other hand refrain's his human urges and goes about everything in a mature subtle way to resolve conflicts, kinda like how jabba does. if anything, i'd say jesse james is humble, especially on his show. and you've obviously never seen him on camera on other shows, the guys a family guy who loves what he does (and is fucking good at it) and loves his son. screw you.

well said diggy Jesse really is a great guy when it comes to fans and his family. His bikes are also way fuckin nicer than OCC choppers the Diablo bikes are just simply amazing and they make everything themselves they don't order out anything. I saw an interview and he said he doesn't even car if he loses money on every single bike he makes because he says the bikes come first then the customers then the money when it comes to his business. granted he doesn't lose money but if he did he wouldn't give a shit. I'm not saying that the OCC bikes aren't really nice the ones I saw at a bike show here were pretty damn nice but you know they only make those bikes because of the show.

Orange County Choppers is the shit, but jesse james does things with cars no one else does. Have you seen him build the things he builds?? WOW. A freakin car turned into a lawn mower? Come on. OCC does not do that. But OCC definitely beats JJ in the chopper department.

yeah I saw the snow mobile mini at the auto show 2 years ago and that was defintiely the shit. I still say West Coast Choppers are better than OCC customer bikes you can't buy those custom bikes without a few hundred thousand dollars sadly (that's how much the Liberty bike supposedly cost) or you can give them a shit load of tools like Snap-On did. West Coast Choppers are faster and a little more slung back they don't all have long ass front forks.

OCC's chopper design are definitely cool. BUT they are a bunch of fence making hacks. they haven't had any formal training in any mechanicals. They AREN'T getting any of my business! The reasons they outsource the frames, because if they built them, the bikes wouldn't run straight.

Stick to the TV OCC, that's where glorified hack monkey's do their best work, the camera hides the crap work. ... includes JJ too. but his bikes are better built.

If anyone saw the episode where they made a boat into a car would tell you that. For those that dont know this was the episode where they took a high speed boat and put it onto a frame and made it into one cool ass car that did somw wicked doanuts.

This is also a show where a kid who was dubbed the #1 monster garage fan was to make an apperance and ride in the car. It was his 'last wish' as he was terminally ill with cancer. To make a long story short thru the entire show no one knew about this on the show but jessie and the producers. The build team kept trying to change the plan to make it a single seater but jessie stuck to it HAD to be a two seater even if it made the buld 200X more complex.

At the end the reason was given. Regretfully the boy who was to be on the show at the end had died just a few week prior so with great emotion jessie dedicated the build to that kid. For more on this show and some photos you can look here.

In other episodes his caring has also shown. The episode where he took a SUV and made it into the ulitmate handicap car. The car itself was awsome and would make anyone drop to their knees when they saw it and jessie goes and has a kid who got paralized from the waste down due to a car accident test drive it. At the end when the test drive was over jessie asked him if he liked the car. The guy obviously said yes and jessie said good its yours. That was AWSOME. To go and give the build to someone who really needed it.

Jessie may come off as being cocky but IMO he is a great guy who is fairly well grounded in what is important in life.

Auto Zone sponsors Monster Garage that's why he does those commercials they get alot of their supplies for that show from Auto Zone on some of the shows they even show them go there.

And for those who think the cars look like shit you have to realize they build them in a week for a really small budget and the Celica looks fucked up in the rear end because it actually lit on fire on the day of the test run.

I dont like that he is doing those commercials either, but I doubt he wanted to do them. My friend knows a guy that bought a bike from JJ and the thing has had nothing but problems. The transmission went out on it and when he called JJ back JJ didnt know what to say and didnt really do anything about it. He then traded it in for a Harley.

I would not call him a sell out for doing those ads. He has more money than he knows what to do with. Adn the cars he drives in those ads are his. Just a small sample of his collection. I know he has at least one Ferrari and one Lambo not to be over shadowed by the many classics and customs he owns and then the dozens of bikes.

Monster Garage is a kinda stupid show.

There are MANY MANY fabricators out there that could do just as good as him - all it takes is a big budget.
