i know he's from brazil, which means he speaks portuguese. and in portuguese (or at least in brazil) an R that appears at the beginning of a name or word is pronounced with an H sound. so "Rubens" would be pronounced "Hubens". i know that much. then there's the double R and double L in his last name. i know in all latin languages (not sure about portuguese) a double R requires you to roll your tongue like a cat's purr. and the double L in latin languages gets pronounced as a Y. so with all this together Rubens Barrichello should be pronounced "Hu-bens Ba-r-r-r-r-icheyo" am i correct? perhaps the members from brazil could give us some insight on that one. thanks

Well funny enough, Rubens knows the best way of saying his name and I have heard him say(tv interviews, like hi im RB and your watching Channel x), he always seems to say Rubens(when speaking english) but his surname I have heard him say Chello and cello(silent h). I say it with a silent h. Always rolling the r's.

The actual Brazilian BRAZILIAN pronunciation is:

Hubens Bahikelo

the 'R's are pronounced as h's but the ch is pronounced as a k and the ll as only one l

I always wondered about that... But still, I guess I won't pronounce it differently
