View Full Version : PLEASE HELP IDENTIFY THIS CAR

The car to the rear of the Diablo etc (top of the picture) was a guy that followed me home yesterday...apparently I had overtaken him or something...(which I dont remember) and he was most upset about it...and started making threats and shouting abuse at me....etc....
Anyway I found the whole thing extremely amusing and I suggested he leave as I had never seen such a pathetic example of a man in all my life...(kinda like a grasshopper waving his arms around) and if I had blown on him then I am sure he would have fallen over....
Just out if interest I was wondering what the car was he was driving...so I could try and remember where I had overtaken him....I was sure it was a new-new shape BMW 3 series...looking at the wheels....but after I saw the CCTV footage I wasnt so sure....
anyone got any ideas....(perhaps I should move this to the triva section) LMAO

Even if the pics are very small, I think you all are right.. it really seems a new 3 series :)

Obvisouly we dont know what the engine size was....but I doubt if the Diablo had much difficulty in overtaken him...(the fact I dont even remember passing him says this to me as well) anyway I think he was just annoyed that his brand new bimmer got owned....but IMO no disgrace loosing to a 500 bhp monster anyway...

But why did he followed you? Was he trying to say you did something dangerous or was just scared or WTF?
Scared him ey? Did he wet his pants? Hahaha..
Anyway, luckily nothing worse happened. :)

If a Diablo would pass me, here is what will happen:
- I'll shout as hard as I can, toward my g/f beside me: " A FUCKING DIABLO!!!!!!"
- I'll wet my pants
- I'll drop 4 gears and try to follow him untill it stops
- I'll exit my car, run beside the Diablo
- I'll try to explain to the guy that I envy/love/respect him
- I'll find my camera on my car (hoping to have it with me)
- I'll take min 20 pics and some small videoclips
- I'll wave him while he'll take off with a huge burnout :D
Waahahaha... I'll only shout as loud as I can though.

its good that 99% of people are the same as you TT (and me) four people yesterday said to me in traffic very nice comments etc...such as..."I just wanna say that car sounds awesome from behind etc...." and I had some really nice races inc a flat out (over 160 in the 355) race with an Audi TT....no way was it a normal one though...as he was doing around 145 mph when I passed him...damn I must get some car camera mounts so I can record my adventures for you and Jabbas World....

thanks.....its quite handy...as you can set it to detect motion...and then email you the pics and video when it does...and also its online 24/7 so you can view it from anywhere where you have access to an internet connection.....
Oh... I thought you have a security posts outside your house or something. No speed cameras? Hhehe..

Funny about the guy. Ive had people do that to me more than once (follow me home and try to abuse).
I think you need a Garage Jabba! As for the Car mounted Camera.. I think its a great idea. You will catch some awesome footage and keep us here at your place very very happy :D not that we are not already more than happy!

mm, sounds like an interesting experience, I got followed by a cab back in my country a year ago because we got into a discussion in a traffic light and told him to fuck off motherfucker, and it all turned into a hot pursuit in the city, it was fun, I was driving my mom's Reanault Scenic, the 2.0 liter petrol engine, and the cab was a Volkswagen Polo Diesel, no need to say that he was struggling to catch up with me so I just let him get close and then smoke him, I ended up getting into a shopping mall parking and saw him smoke past me, definetely hollywood like...
I don't know how taxi driver's are in you guy's country's but in mine them an bus driver's are the worst, very temperamental and think they own the street, i've got into a fight with a taxi driver once, talking about road rage, I cut him off at an intersection and he got out and starting kicking my door, the worse was that he had a passenger at the time...oh well..
Doesd anyone have any stories about that type of thing??

I always drive very slowly on the way home to let the engine cool down properly before I turn it off....also not the hardest car to try and follow in traffic.... as it rather stands out a bit....

it can't be an A8...not long enough and it's definitely a 2-door. I agree with the new BMW 3-series guess.
that is really dumb tho that someone would get pissed off when they get overtaken. One time, my bro and I were driving to the movies (he was driving) and he needed to get into the right lane (to make a turn) and we were behind this guy goin real slow in a tricked out E30 M3...so he floored it (didnt do much, as we were in a 1997 ford escort :splat: ), got in the left lane, passed the guy, switched back into the right lane, and turned into the theater. as we approached a stop sign to go to another part of the parking lot, the guy came up beside us and was like "don't you fuckin drive like that, I got my kid in the car man" (his 10 or 12 year old kid was in the car with him)...after which he gave us the "i'm gonna kick your fucking ass" look, he drive off in another direction...my brother and I promptly started laughing our asses off as we parked and went into the theater.

Man, I would've said to him "Take your gay BMW and go to the gay bar, grass-hopper man"....But the thing is, it's always the skinny motherfuckers who carry guns and knives. I know this one skinny motherfucker tried to stab me....fro almost nothing. HE didn't succeed, as he got knocked out before he could swing his knive.
