If you have time to check his 1200+ posts, you will find various interesting ones talking about his car collection (was also in his signature), him owning an EVO VIII, superb PC, there was also his girlfriend's dad owing an island in Florida and a Ferrari boat as long as a TechArt 996 and such...

Well, everything was forgotten.. but what we never told you (big mistake).. was that he actually registered a new nick and is still around..

Why? that really is the cowards way out IMO much better to let everyone know the facts IMO so that they can make their own minds up, otherwise this sort of behaviour would be rife if people knew they could simply re-register and have their previous identity kept secret. TT/ Jabba were right to let us know this as it could have all been avoided by posting in RC45's topic simply admitting to being a complete asshole and bullshitting, saying he was changing his nick to T-Bird to put it all behind him. I for one would have had far more respect for the guy and who knows after a while I may have forgotten/ forgiven. My one friend did have an Island that was shared with another family a sort of timeshare thing and the boat wasn't made by Ferrari it was powered by it as I recall someone posted pics of them before they do exist, sadly I never got a ride on it so I can't help you there I've only seen pics of the Island and the Boat. I really haven't even talked to him much since last year so it might be hard to get some proof of it but I can try.

I think you slightly misunderstand my reaction, i'll make it a little clearer, i don't really care if he chooses to prove the last claims, he say's it will be difficult to do so- hence i think he may not be able to get custom pics, hence pointless to do so. Ok guys, look, T-Bird has been a pretty stand-up guy since he re-registered. He's been polite, considerate, knowledgable and does not appear to have BSed at all since.

On the one hand, I understand the need for us to know about BS and so forth, but at the risk of drawing criticism myself, how much does it really matter? This is a wonderful forum, the most stimulating to which I've belonged, and certainly one of the most informative, active and enjoyable web-locations I've ever found.

However....

JW is still a website, and we are merely members of a group who share a common interest. The fact that some of us are in possession of exotica (Jabba, bobafett etc...) and some of us drive economy cars and clunkers doesn't really matter here, we have the same passion for cars. Keeping this in mind, JW is still ONLY a website where we can post about our passions. The fact that some of the current and former members of the site choose to post about fictitious events and holdings is relatively immaterial to the success of the site. The only reason that it upsets us (so far as I know) is because of the bitter sense of disappointment, and in some cases even anger at being proved wrong, that comes with the discovery of a BSer. In either case, in my mind at any rate, it doesn't seem all that necessary to berate and argue about BSers.

Those who choose to come here and lie about themselves have to live with what they've done. If that means that we discover them and ban them from the site (as has been done from time to time) then so be it. If it means a different form of punishment, i.e. exclusion from the more exclusive portions of the site, then so be it. However, it LOWERS the rest of us to their level if we choose to squabble over them and our misgivings about their intentions and level of honesty. Let them live their own lives, and we ours, and we needn't start flame wars over this stuff either, as it gets everyone nowhere fast.

JW is so much more fun when we're not having flame wars, arguing about who is a BSer and how newbs are such a pain in the ass. Focus on what we love (cars, politics, babes...non-sexual animal pics) and forget about the rest of it. Let them screw themselves over.

T-Bird, while there may be some trust lost, it isn't necessarily permanent. You've responded relatively well to all this criticism, keep your wits about you and live your own life. Not everything everyone says on here has dramatic ramifications. You're OK in my book, please don't give me reason to think otherwise, I've rather enjoyed your posts and I'd like to continue doing so :-)

heheh...i agree w/ vansquish, but i think the reason that people get all worked up by BSers is cuz JW is a forum with an exceptionally high standard of posts, and mutual respect bwtween the forum members, which is damn rare on the web. so its jsut expected that everybody will behave and try to uphold this standard. and when ppl like zevolv, donny, etc dont, members get rather annoyed because they feel like its lowering the standard of JW. i mean honestly, where else on the web will u find a 13000 member forum that what never met each other chip in to send its moderator on an exotic car trip!!! i just feel that many of the JW members hold the site very close to their heart, perhaps a little too close at times, and want to maintain it.

It would be probably better to just let this past incident go. Been looking at his posts at the American Connection and hopefully seems to have learned his lesson. I think that no access (Whether being pernamently or not, that would be a decision made to the higher ups) to the videos would be punishment enough. Just chill out T Bird, and in time the Jabba family will put all this behind.

Sorry but I disagree completely... I don't see the need... as you said.. here we have ppl that owns Lambos and ppl that own bycicles.. no need to be ashamed or to build a Matrix-like reality.. we don't like and don't want such things on JW.
