About 3pm today in Australia, Venus for a few brief moments, blocked the suns path... and then.. the solar eclipse began.
It was only visible from Europe and Australia i believe. Anyone catch it?
Anyway, it was like seeing a photo-chopped photo - only it wasnt!

Since I'm not in Australia or Europe right now, I didn't see it. :(

It was visible in the Western Hemisphere too Badmihai, if you had gotten up and looked at the sun with a pinhole camera or through a telescope with a solar filter, you would have seen it from 6:00am to about 7:05am. I set my alarm and was ready to do so, but I forgot to turn the fucking thing on, so now I'm gonna have to wait until 2012 to see it.

It showed in the US around 4:30 - 6:30am. I woke up in time to see it. It was cool, just something that you might never get a chance to see again.

I was like "wow, let's get the telescope out" some weeks ago, but then I forgot about the whole thing. No, didn't see it.
