Pedestrian fines???

In Portugal during May, 13 pedestrians were fined by the Traffic Police for crossing the road outside the zebra cross. :shock: Also 64 drivers were also fined for not giving the pedestrians at the zebra crossing, priority :shock: and finally 1 261 were also fined for respecting the road signalisation. During this month the Police concentrated there efforts on certain areas such as these one’s.
In June the Police will be concentrating there efforts on alcohol, speed and safety belts. :?

It never crossed my mind when crossing the road I could get fined. If this was the case I would get about 20-30 fines a day.
