I live in Ny now i just moved back from Boynton Beach Florida. My license was suspended because of a failure to answer a summons that was sent to me at my home in NY while i was in florida. The Ticket ? oh yunlicensedensed operator ticket, hmm :? now just think of that for a minute. How could you susplicenceisence for a ticket whose documented violation licencedsenced ? :?: How can the court take away my drprivilegesledges if the ticket that caused the suspension was claiming tdidn't didnt have a license ? :?: you cant take something that you cladidn'tdidnt have in the first place. This all starts with a cop who pulled me over in november of 2002 at what they call a "Holiday Checkpoint" They check belts and so on, but it just so happened thdidn'tdidnt have an inspection sticker , They throughought the run liscenseencse registration and insurance. I gave him my old license that was expired cause i had recently lost my new one after a night in the city. But as most people know the drivers id number on the license never changes so i asked the officer to just run the number and he will see that everything is fine. Well because cops are pigs and trying fufillitheirier quota this asshole says "don'tont want to run the number just incase it comes back no good" I assured the officer that licencence insurance and registration was valid and that it would be fine to run the number , as a matter of fact I insisted that he do so. Well apparently it was too much trouble and he wrote me 3 fucking tickets. I then provided all the documentation to the Department oF Motor Vehicles to meet the burden of proof. Of course they did not read the information properly and then sent the info back stating they needed a statement from the underwriting dept of the insurance company indicating that i was covered under the policy when i had already sent it. While this info was once again being reprocessed i was pulled over again. Now the officer informs me that licencence was revoked as a result of this delay in the processing. A few days later i then receive a letter stating that the first ticket for beinunlicenseded , was dropped vacated and they even refunded me my money. THinking that the issue was now settled i move to florida , and then rreceivemail ffowardedfrom ny stating that mlicencece was once again SUSPENDED. Why ? Because the 2nd ticket i rreceivedwhile the mix up in the documentation happened. But it was already proven that i had a license, yes i know but theydon'tt care.
I went to court today and spent about 3 hours just trying to get into a court room. First they assign me to a court room that was closed for that day, But the clerk posted it anyway leading me on a wild goose chase between floors 2 and 5. Only to be stuffed into an already over crowded court room with a judge that obviously had something up his ass. I mean if there was ever a definition of douche bag in the dictionary, his face would be right there next to it. i stood before the judge after a bunch of ccompletelymoronic people got done wasting the judges time, only to be treated even worse than the low lives before me. I had all the documentation to show that everything was cool and kosher, but do you think the judge wanted to hear that ..... NO all this asshole wanted to do was rush people out without hearing what they had to say intheirr defense . They then sent me down to the clerks office so i can get a request to lift the suspension, had to pay 35 dollars for a piece of paper that was for me to bring to the dmv so i can get another piece of paper that would cost an additional 6 bucks . then i had to go back to the court 2 fucking weeks later. What the FUCK! At this point i might as well LIE plead guilty and pay the fucking fine so i can line this asshole judges pockets with c notes. (hOne hundreddollar bills) just so i can have some kind of piece of mind and get my god damn license back. I mean really what the fuck man the dumb ass judge wowouldn'tven look at the documentation , And the whole thing is just to ininconveniencehe motorist agaggravatehem so much to the point that they will never want to come back. Well out of this entire court system at least they got one thing to work. I sure as hell don't want to come back. This just goes to show you when it comes to the justice system in america even if you are right you are still wrong and they are just going to rape you for as much money as possible. Let this be a lesson don't bother fighting pay the tickets and call it a day, IT IS NOT WORTH THE aggravation> :x
 NWA had it right FUCK THA POLICE

There may be some organisations that can help you, look about, something like a citizens advice like they have in the UK.

I lost the course of action in your thread, so I can't really help you. Good luck!

That was really hard to read... That is so screwed up the judge wouldnt even look at your paperwork. Some cops are cool, but most are just a-holes. My friend got a ticket for not stopping at a stopsign in the middle of the night on a road no one ever uses, we didnt see any head lights, so we just went through it. Still to this day we dont know where the cop came from but he pulled us over. He was cool, but still gave us a ticket... "Gotta get my quota." Cops shouldnt have a quota!

I think something in spell check messed up. Ill go back and edit it to try and make more sense of it just not now, i guess the bottom line is i probobly should get a lawyer to handle it. But if the lawyer costs more than the fine, do I swallow my pride and pay the fine, or do i pay more money to prove i was right and they were wrong.

So you got into a fight with your spellcheck, did you??
I would say just swallow the pride and pay the stupid fine because later they will just find another reason to jack you over. It's a cop judge's job to screw with us and they ALL do a good job at it. :fadein: Just get it off your record.
