i, along with many many others, are having problems completing the downloads from the download links forum, apparently the download cuts short and therefore the archive can't be opened with winrar.

nobody seems to know what the problem is or how to solve it? others keep saying to use a download manager but what the hell is that and where can people get one?

somebody help put some answers to these questions, you won't only be helping me but about half the site as well

p.s. i chose to put this in this forum because it's a serious problem and is sure to get far more views and possible responses than it would in the bug report forum

Well first of all, I think there're alot of people downloading the video at once, which makes the server slow, and there may be a minimum bandwith for downloading. Let's say you're below 60kbs and the minimum is 65. Your download will be cut off just for being under the minimum speed.

For download manager, go to google and search for "Get Right". It will help and let you resume downloads.

Yeah I used to do the same thing. I use download Accelerator Plus. Its pretty good. But some of the websites will not let you download stuff if you have a download manager. So if you download it dont intergrate it in your web browser and every time you want to download something from here right click and select Download with DAP

Decided to try the Download Acc. and it is great. I didn't know they helped out so much. Took about half the time to download a vid.

I never d/loaded a file bigger than 500 kb w/o a download accelerator... dang, it's a must in every PC, like winzip or acrobat reader and so on... DAP and Get Right are the best ones.

And comon, how can you ask "where to find" them... I bet you know www.downloads.com ...

And don't say "ppl have yet to provide help"... we said that already MANY times...

Why do people use download accelerators !?!?!

You connection / bandwidth is hardware limited – no software program can give you more bandwidth.

That’s like downloading a CPU accelerator program in the hope it will double the speed of your computer – It isn’t going to happen.

What’s even more amusing is that on www.download.com 36.5 million people have downloaded Download Accelerator Plus - lol

If you really want to stop corrupt downloads or broken files get a download manager like Get Right. Drag all your downloads into the program and you will not have any more problems

Windows own download manager is silly man.. While gettin huge file it always gives error.. Btw download managers are incresin your speed..
Windows own download manager never gets the high band speed..
But u can take it with download manager all the time..
I advice you that.. Download mass downloader from the download.com..
Try a file downloadin from a fast server.. Apply the thread to 100.. Than see how speed r u flyin... For my connection it sometimes gives error about joinin the spilitted files..Thats why I am usin Dap..It never gives me such an error.. With my connection usin Dap avarage speed is 20kb/s.. While I was usin Mass Download it makes the speed 60 70s.. And they are not fake.. I have many screenshots..

Man, DAP is the same exact thing like Get Right... it's a download manager basically... the name can fool you, but it's not a real accelerator.. but basically if it was d/loaded by 36 million ppl (me too), it's because it works great, as Get right does...

And geekdiggy, maybe you have that problem because "zip" extensions are not set as default for DAP?
