The ferrari 275GTB/4 restoration has finished. Here are some shots of it added to the site.

http://e.co.za/Cars/photos.html

The 275 shots, just change the photos.html to ferrai275gtb.html

I will take many more better shots in Europe over the next few weeks.
Will also try to get shots inside Lamborghini, Ferrari museum, Autosalon Singen dealership, BMW museum and 1 or 2 out-of-the-way workshops with hopefully some rare Ferraris too.

Thanks. I love classic cars. They have a lot of character. Todays cars are like little plastic molded match-box toys.

The classics are very rare here in SA. So whenever I see one it is great.
Sometimes go visit a whole range of car-dealers just to see if they have something interesting.

The last run turned up: Morgan +8, MG TF, 2X Lamborghini Espada, Marcos (model??), Aston Martin Lagonda (The hideous 80's wedge) and 1970's Mercedes 280SL pagoda top roadster. 8).
But I did not have a camera with me then. Maybe I will go look next weekend again and take shots.

I have to apologise profusely! Seems I made a mistake with the html and some images did not display.

Nice SC. I noticed that you track the car at Porsche events. How does the car handle with 15" tires compared to other SC's or Carrera's with 16" or 17"? Have you have thought of upgrading them or are you going to buy a Carrera instead?

What I have noticed is that they seem to have less grip in a straight line. But also the 16" tyres are wider. I think at the edge the 16's will obviously have a margin over the 15's.
In my first event I managed to keep up with a Carrera through a few laps until I fluffed a gearchange. But its hard to say, as I have no idea how well the other guy drove. (I also managed to outrace a new Carrera 4S! Driver was scared of cornering)
I would love to get the 16" Fuchs rims, but they are quite expensive. I am vaguely considering upgrading to a Carrera in 2 years or so, but I also want to buy a Ferrari 308 at some time and possibly keep the SC as my daily car.
