I don't know how engineeringly sound it is, but oh well. Yeah, and I know I probably should have also put 3 compression ring lands on, but eh *shrug*

You should put this in the Trivia section and let people guess what it is. :D

It looks neat. Why did you design this Sinister Angel?

Not really sure. Just something to do I guess. I've always wanted to design car parts as well (even though that is a diesel piston, you can tell by the oil ring being on the bottom). I'm thinking of finishing it by doing the whole crank setup, well, one section of a crank anyway, so it would be piston, pin, con rod, and crank. I don't know though. might be a little tougher.

Cool, you did a good job. i've played with some 3D modeling programs before with no luck. I'm not very artistic. lol

It would be cool if you made it a bit smaller and had 8 (or 10 or 12) pistons on a crank, you know, the whole assembly.

I was originally going to try this using inventor (same company make it that makes autocad), but I got owned hardcore. I've been putzing with rhino for a little while, so i knew it better. The bore of that piston is only 3.66 inches, I just had the resolution jacked up so people can see shit kinda clearly. I'm gonna talk to my teacher though and see if it would be possible for me to get my hand on a crankshaft, since i have a con rod to base a model off of.

Tops tuff mate...what program did you use??
