About the Golf Mark 1 GTi, didn't know for sure if he owned one (was doubting about that too), but you're probably right, so 10 cars in total then :)

Yep, his wife owns a bmw z1 but I didn't take that into account.
The same with the beetle his mother had.
Don't think he ever owned a jag e type, but I might be mistaken

mark1 gli = mark1 means it's the first model with that name & gli is a package with options fitted to the car. So you forgot the real name of the car :D

2. James May is the new guy on Top Gear, so not Jeremy and not the kid.

4. Mendocino allmost has them all (I'm afraid I didn't take the Range Rover as one of the cars he slided of the track :P). So the answer is the Clio V6, Vanquish, TVR t350c and ...
