yeah, ive never done it, and although im quite familiar how a/c works, i am unsure on the process of recharging it. its starting to get to be hot/humid summer, and 25$ to recharge myself, or 50 to have it done...

it would likely just be a temporary solution, but good enough for now

it's really easy. you buy a kit, a bottle and a hose that will attach to the recharge nozzle. (look in your manual to find the nozzle) hook up the hose to the bottle and then to the nozzle in the car. open the valve that's on the hose and you should be set.

I think besides what's been said, you have to keep your eye on the sight glass. Once you don't see anymore bubbles, then the system's full and you can turn the bottle off. Otherwise, you might overcharge and blow seals.

Another thing, make sure you get the right refrigerant...since there's old stuff and the new. I forget the nomenclature though...R134a? R12? R2-D2?
